It's the voices in their heads, just back away slowly, it seems to affect a lot of them here... Don't make any loud noises...

It's because people think Apple invents everything

I only see Android fans bashing apple fans like this. Never seen apple fan saying it invents everything (recently at least).

Because Apple hasn't re-invented anything we've not seen, that they can claim they invented.

Exactly. I've been looking around on here for months and the only people who say Apple are flawless, invent everything with their amazing innovation and that iOS is perfect are the Android fans who SAY they dislike Apple, ironic really...

But this is what you are missing. I can't say I've ever seen Apple say they invented anything. But Steve Jobs was great at using hyperbole's to make you think they did. Because everything Apple makes is so revolutionary. Apple invented "their" version of a desktop Apple invented "their" version of a laptop Apple invented "their" version of a i/Pad/Phone/Pod/Mac Apple invented "their" version of a PDA Apple invented "their" version of lots of things. But they have always tried to market them with hype so you think it was soemthign new, when it wasn't. Example? Retina Display. Befoare Apple coined this phrase, it had never been heard before. What does it mean? I means nothing. It was based on a lie Steve Jobs claimed about how far a device needed to be from your face, based on the resolution of the screen and whether or not you will see individual pixels. In reality, it was just a fancy set of words for a technology which has been around for years. The tech was how to put more pixels into a square inch. Apple only did this, because they were to lazy to just make the screen bigger, so they use Sharp's technology to pack more pixels into a given space. But this tech had to be backed up with software, so the images would display properly on the screen. Something no one else needed Then you have 3D Touch. This is Apple own patented technology for Force Touch which uses a hardware mechanism for being able to read the pressure right on the screen. This simply mimic software versions of long-press and short-press which uses a software algorithm to perform the same function. The software way is better because it costs nothign but time, and can be implemented on any device no matter how old it is. But Apple chose the hardware version because, well everyone else was goign to have it too and they wanted to be first, and it was a good excuse to raise the cost of the phone to own, even as limited as the tech actually is. Its because of this marketing tricks, that people actually believe Apple has brought them new stuff, when ist stuff we've had all the time, that were never directly marketed because, there was never a need to draw attention to them. Before Apple, no one gave a crap about PPI. When Apple first used the term, every App'e fanboy on the plenet was repeating it over and over. Now having a high resolution is a gimmick per those same fans. You dont even hear about PPI anymore, because Apple no longer leads in this regard. Oh and Apple Retina Display HD? More BS. 1920x1080 is an industry standard resolution. Apple's display doesn't even pack more pixels than a device of similar size. Fact, the larger the display, the less pixels needed. Which is why larger displays at the same resolutions have a bit less of a pixel count. Compare the 5.5" iPhone 6S+ @ 401PPI vs the Galaxy Note 3 with the same sized screen at 386PPI. When you do the actual math, you will see if the Note 3 had a 5.5" display, it too would have 401

...pixels as well. Which emans Apple Retina HD means nothing because it doesn't even pack in more pixels than anyone else is using. Its the same identical display size and use of standard resolutions. But they keep using the "retina" moniker, and it means even less now than when they first use dit. Other OEM's rarely focus on marketing tricks and hyperbole's to sell products. In an age where almost all phones offer the same hardware, the only way to make yours stand out is to lie, mince words, use hyperbole's and call a technology yours, when all you did was buy it from someone else. At least Samsung said upfront, that their payment system was purchased by buying Loop Pay. Apple? Made it seem like it was their original idea. Same with Force Touch, Same with their new wireless charging, which Qualcomm bought already in the same year Apple patented their, from a company called WiPower. They invented a way to charge a phone without laying it on a Pad. But because blogs liek PA, try to draw more attention to it, because its Apple, many believe its actually somethign new. Why? BEcause they fail to mention it when other OEM's have it first. After all we can't let Apple appear to be 2-3 years behind everyone else. Even though, that si exactly where they are Check out this video. The best truth about Apple Inc - by Tim Cook -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaFJi8e3Phwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZb-7mtNYgA

Not inventing them. Just fixing them.

Thats a question of point of view. the way they use notification center is not as good as the one on android by example. They also really fixed google map when they came out with Apple map right? So i would not speak they may have done better implimentation from time to time but its not always the case. Anyway its not like iphone user thats are invested in the ecosystem have much choice eh... You have only one OEM for ios based device.

Which would be fine, if not for the monumental hypocrisy of Apple and it's most rabid fans constantly yelling that everyone copies Apple.

I don't mind if Apple copying others, it's not bad things if that's mean trim the bezel, cuz i'd think their iconic home button requires too much space.

i mean regular size phone not that snow shovel. man i love iphone design, like colours and materials, but that screen and bezel is ugly. samsung makes perfect screen and bezel but then its fingerprint magnet.

Super small bezel = broken phone when droped. S7 edge even with an otterbox the screen may break if droped as side are not well protected.

samsung gives insurance for that screen in case its broken, so that is not an issue.

Funny considering it's been widely agreed that the iPhone 6S line is just as susceptible to breaking from impact as the S7 line
