No, he was clearly loading it wrong! Under normal load cases (turned off and sitting in your pocket) this wouldn't happen...

There you go, you see the difference? Apple is quietly telling the customers to go and exchange it, but the problem is that there isn't a phone to exchange with b/c they only manufactured a small amt so they could sell all units.

Lesson learned. Never buy first batch devices.

It's throttled down, so it's not so noisy

That sounds like a bad power system/load balancing system, if it is, that's going to be a costly change, since they'd likely have to scrap all of those chips they have and reorder new.

Sounds like they didnt use Samsung for the chips.

I wonder what the hell would cause it to make a sound like that.

Just read the story on 9 to 5 Mac. Apple has really got its fans trained well. They're already claiming that ALL phones make this noise.

Maybe it has active cooling now? Anyway where is that guybwho raves about being able tontake a phone tonthe store and just exchange it. I would have told them you need to ship me another. Oh wait..they dont have any. None in the stores, none at carriers or retailers. Good luck on the exchange. It suck to have a faulty device tou cabt exchange right away. Ask Note 7 owners. This is why you shoildnt troll when another oem has issues, because some items always have issues with new phones. Especially Apple. Every iPhone has had a release issue.

This is why I'm no longer a early adopter. Always a potential issue. Even if you buy first gen car there will be recalls out the a@@. Xbox 360 on release day. Year later it bit the dust. Then the replacement eventually bit the dust. For now on gotta wait and see. Even these replacement Notes. If they're rushing to replace the defective units gotta wait and see how it goes.

Ray S. would call anyone who experiences this issue a "retard".

Isn't this cute? All these android fangirls rejoicing for such a minimum problem on the iPhone, like this is comparable to the exploding feature of the galagsy nuclear 7. Keep trying girls :-/
