iPhone 6s vs Galaxy S6: Video stabilization comparison

Apple never stopped improving and polishing the cameras on its iPhones, but it took it a while to move from an 8-megapixel sensor (starting with the iPhone 4S) to a 12-megapixel one with the iPhone 6s. But since the resolving power of previous iPhones never really bothered us, come announcement, we were more interested in another possible (and sometimes rumored) improvement: optical stabilization...

The S6 wins again, don't know what some are watching, the image quality and stabilization better on the S6. Really apple just have the brand power and will continue making money till somebody else learns how to beat them at branding. Would like to see a real video comparison of the s6 and z5, that's a proper competition.

the 6s having no ois is disgusting. Apple it's ok to make your phones 4.8-5in to fit it in

iPhone is definitely smoother while the Galaxy shows more/better details.

@ 1:08 you can see what is sacrificed to gain that DIS stablization on ip6s. however they have achieved a good degree of DIS on iphone 6s, samsung should up their stablization game. Z5 is the king in stablization though.

I'm curious if he even had the OIS turned on, on the S6. I thought the S6 was more bouncy, but the colors weer certainly more accurate. But I am still asking if he even had OIS on at all. Because the S6 models have (2) FHD settings. The one at 60FPS doesnt work with OIS at all. I don't have one of those sticks I can mount the 6S and S6 on like this guy, I need to get one. But I just took a 50 sec walk through a small part of my office. Compare mine with his. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6KbycNj7UBGcG9meXBZSTRFS2s/view?usp=sharing Walking up the stairs was a bit of wobble, but i was walking at a similar pace. I took a photo to confirm the phone model -https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6KbycNj7UBGLXBkaGxxVjFnbWs Now try outside - In this video, over summer we went to Disney/Orlando and this video is 4K. There is no use of OIS with 4K. Now the monorial is very old so it has a very bumpy ride, so theer are places where it is really bumpy and you can see me vibrating, but the camera was still very steady and many objects were still very easy to see and were not jumping. The train was easily moving at 50mph at one point and even pointing out the window..WITH NO OIS, just me holding the phone (S6 Edge at the time, I have the Edge+ now), and it nowhere near as bumpy as here.. IMO, I don't think he had OIS turned on. I mean compare my vids to his. I changed nothing on the video. I wished video details would show what phone took the shots like photos do. 4K - 1.6GB - No OIS..I'm the OIS. Compare my video to his -https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6KbycNj7UBGbmREVnVXWFYxbjA

I guess uploading the files to Google Drive degraded the quality. That sucks. well hopefully. Hmmm need to post somewhere else.

Why didn't they use the Note 5?

Same cameras on the S6 as the Note 5/S6 Edge+.

Images look mostly the same but the video software is better on the Note 5/S6 Edge+.
