iPhone 6s vs Galaxy S6, LG G4, iPhone 6 blind camera comparison: vote for the best phone

There's no denying that the iPhone 6s is a great smartphone, and those who have read our in-depth review are well aware of that already. It is fast, well-designed, and packed to the brim with goodies of all sorts. Its camera, in particular, has been getting a lot of attention. The iPhone 6s is equipped with a 12MP main shooter – up from the 8MP one on its predecessor – and it is well-capable of snapping pretty photos. Is it better than its high-end rivals, however? That's the question we'll try to give an answer to with our blind camera comparison...

I rather have saturation, that colors that look washed out and poor detail. The S6 may be saturate, the the detail and sharpness are unmatched.

Go on, spot the iphone's shots then vote it without inspecting the qualities.

Okay to everyone saying the iPhone or the S6 is the winner or the best.. Please just stop fanboying, the reality of this test is that the difference between these cameras are small.. REALLY small, and it's very impressive.

S6 and G4 tend to overexpose a bit. iPhones have similar color reproduction, the 6 has slightly les detail. G4 sharpens bit more than S6. It's pretty obvious which shot was shot with which phone. I'm a G4 owner. I think the S6 took the most votes by me, then the 6S, then G4 and I'm not sure I gave a vote to the 6. I know, these are just speculation, but I'm already looking forward to results. The differences are only visible when you compare the pictures side by side. When you own only one camera of this year's flasghips, you'd be happy with anything you choose.

Too bad the Z5 and Note 5 were not included. My guess is that the iPhone will be last place.

interesting to see that people try to vote but then want their favorites to be the best. in total all cameras do very well and that's great because it pushes technology to go further. but even if an samsung or an iphone etc win, i'd still pick the G4 not because of the already great photo quality, but for the software and the possibilities it gives. it's a real joy to use that camera.

The photos taken in this kind of comparison are becoming indistinguishable from one another. Unless there is a major advancement in the camera sensor unit, choosing a phone based on its camera´s capabilities will become pointless.

Ditto, although for this comparison I would say Nexus 5X. Then for their next matchup: iPhone 6S Plus Note 5 Nexus 6P Moto X Pure/Style V10

I'm on a low resolution display and couldn't see much difference in detail, probably should have waited until I get home before voting. Saturation and sharpening gave away two of them and I', guessing the other two are the iPhone's, but I could be completely wrong.

Downgrade will underestimate the incredible detail of the camera of the LG G4 , and others with larger / more megapixel sensors. The right would you oversample images .

Why do people keep picking the photos with the most faded sky and washed out highlights?

57. TechieXP1969

This is going to be really close as another poster stated. The only advantage I see here is the S6 1.9 aperture lets in more light, so on the bright sunny day shots, the sky looks more natural. But as always, Samsung colors are more saturated, but it's not as heavy as usual. What you see with your own eyes vs what a camera sees is going to be always different, because everyone's eyesight is different. Also dpending on where you live, the tone of sky color varies. When I was in Florida, because the air is much cleaner than it is in Chicago, the sky is a bright blue, while here in Chicago, the blue actually looks darker, like it does in Samsung typical sky pictures. So for me it makes it hard to judge what is actually more appealing. I like a darker blue sky because that is what I am use too. So this made it very tough for me. Also, people assume, a shot with punchy colors has to be a Samsung phone and will just choose another photo, because they dont want Samsung to win. What I have notice is, other phones can take punchy colors too and sometimes it depends on the shot angle, the shadows and more than can throw a camera off and make it process the photo with more color due to adjustments in lighting. I can't say the iPhone is going to win. But based on what I could tell, the S6 is going to probably take 2nd place, considering the cheating votes. The iPhone pics for the most part all still look washed out of color.

well i guess PA does have the Z5 or any of its variants.. i think note 5 was not include since it has the same camera specs as the S6. iphone 6 was included to see if there's a difference with the 6s.
