iPhone 6s vs Galaxy S6, LG G4, iPhone 6 blind camera comparison: vote for the best phone

There's no denying that the iPhone 6s is a great smartphone, and those who have read our in-depth review are well aware of that already. It is fast, well-designed, and packed to the brim with goodies of all sorts. Its camera, in particular, has been getting a lot of attention. The iPhone 6s is equipped with a 12MP main shooter – up from the 8MP one on its predecessor – and it is well-capable of snapping pretty photos. Is it better than its high-end rivals, however? That's the question we'll try to give an answer to with our blind camera comparison...

The 6s and 6s+ have the best smartphone cameras by a mile!

Lol yeah right. PA hates Sony. The Z5 would have been a better contender than the iPhone 6

Agreed, why putting ip6 in a place it doesn't belong? This is a 2015 camera shootout. We already know that ip6 has the inferior camera.

Because it increases the chances of an iPhone winning by that much. For that matter, I half expect them to combine the results for the iPhones in the end and claim something like "post people prefer the iPhones pictures on the whole".

because they wanted to see if the tiny improvements of the ip6s really make a difference with real pictures that people see. It will be interesting to see which one is better ip6 or ip6s.

This is why DXO is profession expert on testing camera, not PA :)

Not really, most reviewers say the s6 is still better.

But looks like Sammy is facing stiff competition this time, it wont have the runaway win it had last time as below. Note 4 vs iPhone 6 vs Canon DSLR - 86%, 6%, 8% Sammy should up its game in the Camera department to get such healthy lead. But one thing that should be accepted is that there is no phone which can compete with S6 in the Manual/Professional mode.

The LG G4 has a better manual mode, the Pro mode on the S6 doesn't offer as much. Of course you can just use the manual camera from the play store, if you really want the extras.

Nah there's complaints the 6S camera isn't that much better aside from more pixels over the old iPhone 6 camera.

iphone 6 and 6s seem to produce similar images

@shahrooz : they produce sharper, but also unrealistic darker, outdoor images. But that's pretty much it.

since people in this kind of blind test only focus on details instead of colors or dynamic range, i guess the S6 will win again...

8. RebelwithoutaClue unregistered

Sorry but the dynamic range and true colors are more than excellent on the S6 and better than the 6, which has been tested on DXMark for example, a site that looks beyond focus on details.

Not that detail isn't important, but at this point the iPhones win no objective metrics at all.

14. T-rex unregistered

true, since there is no reference shot, the only thing left to decide with is the resolved detail which is definitely superior on s6 the only other thing that people can judge on is dynamic range and which is a bit relevant here since that is easy to see, but other than that there is no way of telling which is better on the basis of color reproduction.

Haha iphone will never win the camera test, because pictures taken with the iphone are not that good! Just check the pictures!

You need to check your eyes and most probably your head too.

Well i did maybe it's time to check yours! The G4 is better, hell even my 3 years old phone kills the iphone 6s.

Why? Do you prefer blown out skies and jagged details

You pretty much can tell, which photos belong to the S6, over saturation.

Just like iPhone's lack of details and colors.
