I voted for number 4. I just cant believe people would vote for number 1. Its clearly that colors are unnatural compared to other phones. Number 4 is also most detailed.

+1 That's the thing about the blind comparisons, it keeps everyone honest for the most part. For me it would be the Z1,G2, the GS4, then the iPhone, which I know it looks bad at first glance to say it's 4th, but that's my honest opinion. One I didn't share by voting. So these phones have all won and lost to each other based on who votes, what the voter likes, and the subjects in the photos. All of these phones have great cameras so you really can't go wrong. (HTC, meh... It's a nice camera but very hit or miss. They need to step it up a LOT if theywant to compete with any of these cameras.)

Great job as always apple, and with the ability too auto compress/auto edit videos, your camera shines. Kudos Mr. Cook, now hurry up with those "BIG" plans for 2014. The camp out awaits.

i LOVED the most phone 5 (z1) and 4 pics (s4, though i'm not gonna buy sam phones for various reasons). i'm really glad cause i love sony devices and i'm surely going to buy the h2 sony flagship. :D this using this sh***y iphone. no matter how good the hardware, ios sucks.

It's funny, in the comments most ot people voted for phone 5 (z1) or phone 4 (s4), the ones I liked the most by far, but the iphone 5S got most of the votes. I really wonder who voted for it. I can understand that the clearly oversaturated colors appealled to many people (I actually thought it was a Lumia1020), but it seems no one likes to admit they voted for it.

Well it only goes to show that the authors of these articles are not trained journalists. They are merely tech lovers that know how to read and write words. Secondly, what would PA readers expect in this comparison to win? An android phone? Of course not. We all know that PA is only in love with iturd products.

No surprise here, Apple devices lead the way in terms of audio and camera performance.

Had to sign in to respond to this. Coming from s2,s3,,htc one and now owning a 5s. Apples audio sucks the speaker on this thing is low and the call quality is easily the worst I've ever experienced in a cell phone. Their camera is just as good as any other by no means does it crush any other ones tested. The only reason I bought my 5s btw was because I wanted a phone i could use with one hand. The performance on this is also not close to the best I've experienced.

You shoulda realized all that by spending time with it before you bought it. Hmmmmmmmmm.

As I said I bought it because of the size not because of a feature or because sheep say it's the best phone and a status symbol.

If it was ONLY for the size, an iP5/iP5C would've been just as good and cheaper. I don't buy your excuse.

Well it's not surprising that the Iphone has a great camera, but the difference between the Z1 and the Z1 compact is. For me my S4 remains the top choice because it has many other modes than just Auto. On which I presume the photos were taken.

I tried to move to an S4 from my Nokia 808 a month ago because I wanted the apps of the Android ecosystem. I only was able to own the S4 for a day before I returned it to the T-Mo store because of low indoors photo quality. I know I'm spoiled by the 808's superb xenon indoors photos, but I couldn't manage to get a single passable indoors photo with the S4. Maybe I had a bad unit. In my photos, all the indoors faces were grainy, whether I used the flash or not. The S4 took decent outdoors photos, but indoors, where I take a lot of family pictures, the shots were unusable.
