iOS 9 causes sound problems with various apps and games. iOS musicians – tread carefully

Well, folks, if there's anything we've learned, it's that new software updates rarely go smoothly. The rule applies to both Android and iOS, as both have had their fair share of troubles the last time major updates occurred – iOS 8 had problems with connectivity and TouchID, while Android 5 Lollipop introduced a memory leak and battery drain issue for many users.

Still better than laggypop, which is a bug in itself.

I am android guy but I gotta agree to that one. At least in Apple's case a bug can be fixed in a more timely manner.

Oh I know how you love is and iPhone so much that you would rather trade your galaxy S6 with the new iPhone? :/

I won't. Not unless they use a similar grade display panel. Also android is a necessary evil for me. I require to do certain tasks and run certain apps that aren't available on iOS.

Then stop s**tting on Android if it's the only OS that gets the job done for your needs.

When exactly did I say bad about android. I hate lollipop, not android. Kitkat was great and marshmallow can be good.

The memory leak problem primarily spread out to Nexus devices and Samsung high-end phones, neither my LG G2 nor my Xperia Z1 suffered from it. The battery drain issue could easily be resolved as it turned out the main culprit was wifi being always on, which you can turn off in the wifi advanced settings. Apps like Google + and Photos seemed to drain quite a bit of battery too, considering i use neither it was a no brainer what to do about it. Even so Android 5.1.1 seems to be working better than 5.0.2, smoother and bugfree so far.

There is a bug related to mobile data radio and it's getting on my nerves. It's finally fixed in 6.0 and it makes lollipop a very very bad experience.

I'd suggest having a good hard look at the apps you've got running as one or more are the likely reason behind the constant mobile data use. Google's power management should supply you with all the info you need about which app has used how much time on your data connection. I had a wallpaper app on my phone previously that drained 10% of my battery without having been used for weeks. Obviously it got deleted

Can you be specific? I havent heard such. You have to consider that all phones use different brands of radios.

My dad's Z1 Compact seem to be working good with L but I am afraid of upgrading my Z3 Compact... they seem to be buggier... so I will go from K to M

Though with Sony you might be waiting till next summer before they make Marshmallow available for the z3 series. But they'll make sure it works solid with the device.

Seems to me that iOS are more prone to bugs and serious problems than Android updates, probably because Apple barely bothers with testing before releasing them these days. I prefer waiting a few months to get a damn near bugfree OS update than getting an update that breaks stuff.

OMG problems after problems.. And NEVER admit that iphone is crap.. always ifans will be pardoning every fail .. Just as I said b4.. If apple would start selling non working or damaged phone iFans will go ; that is fine as long as it is iphone am fine with it..:DDD

Im a apple user but I prefer a Andriod more, Nonetheless I do admit that the IPhone is crap when it comes to updates, I sometimes blame Apple for its "testing policies"

My Lollipop doesn't lag. Its not an Android issue. many Android issues can be related to specific OEM's.

Apple should just fix iOS 9 and stay there. Or do what they did with OSX, stop at iOS 10 and fix every single bug that they can.

Line Messenger notifications also under notifications can not be cleared. After updating Line does not open right away and has a bit of lag before opening back up.

One Question to phonearena: Two days ago, the articles were praising the iPhone 6s/6s Plus even giving them an excellent review score. Now the page is filled with articles about problems with Iphone 6s/ios9. I believe that given that the phone performed well in the review, they should give some time to apple, if there is a problem, before posting these articles. Alternatively, the review of the phones should be delayed until it becomes comprehensive, taking into account these problems. P.S: These comments are from an android user. So no bias towards apple at all.

They're just doing their job by streaming actual news to readers. News moves fast so there's that. Software bugs don't add cons to phones in reviews so nothing's wrong here.
