I wonder how the iPhone 4s & iPad 2 will perform with their last major upgrade (most likely).

They'll be as laggy as iPhone 4 with iOS 7

But the 4s has 8 times better GPU than the 4 I think?

Doesn't matter Apple will slow it down on purpose to get the people upgrading to 6,

Well, iOS 7 was a complete re-haul, specially on visual UI and the way it handles background processing and updating. If you had somthing like um... a Store where there are trained people specifically to help you with your device... um... I dont know - Apple Store: You can take your iPhone 4 and they will set it up to run smooth on iOS7 like many have done with iP4 and 4s and are currently enjoying their Old iPhone with iOS 7. See - iOS 8 is more of a background update including many iCloud and non iPhone related features that work with iOS - so I dont see any changes in performance for iPhones that are going to receive iOS8 - as it's not graphically impacting as the change between iOS6 to iOS7. Buy yeah, take advantage of the Apple Store - I've seen first hand how iPhone 4 and 4s got instant improvements just by toning down transitions and graphical features of the UI - it's there if you want, but the hardware of those phones are 3-4 years old.

Hopefully the update for the iPad 2 has better performance. iOS 7.1.2 is pretty choppy sometimes on my iPad. Tsktsktsk

I just bought the new MacBook Pro retina and I can't put it down. Alone it's an incredible notebook. If you are part of the apple ecosystem already you will absolutely love it. It is pricey but it's incredible.

Do you think I should install it on my iPhone 5s as soon as it comes out or is it better to wait a little bit? I remember that iOS7 at the beginning was pretty unstable (for example Safari kept continuously crashing)

Why those are Sep. 19 written in the table of Approximate Asian release times, while the actual release time should be approximately Sep. 18? It's really confusing.

As of now I think iOS8 has taken a toll on the battery. Monday-Friday I use the phone the same way everyday; 40-45mins of VOIP calls, whatsapp, iMessage and lots of work emails a day. At this time of the day the iPhone5 usually has a 40% of battery left along with 4hrs and 30mins of usage, right now it only has a 7% left and 4hrs of usage. I hope I did not make it very confusing but English is not my first language.

T-4 hours. "checking for update"... maybe Apple makes the mistake to release it earlier in my country :).

Now we wait for the flood of bug reports... (All software has it, Android 4.4.3 had a battery draining camera glitch, and windows phone has... well, the whole OS) :P
