You are gonna like it. I installed iOS8 GM last night and so far I am enjoying it a lot. I like the predictive keyboard, iMessage, the new email tabs, health, family sharing...etc... little neat things. I made sure I disabled some of the privacy (location services) as well as some of the apps that use data. Have fun on Wednesday, I couldn't wait and did my iPhone 5 and iPad last night, both set up as new devices.

Thanx for the info, much appreciated. I'm not gonna update my 5s, just my Mini 2. I wanna wait till Fridays iPhone launch to get the full experience on a shiny, new, gold 6 plus.

Dark! I was thinking of doing the exact same thing! That, and it might be best to leave your iPhone where a jailbreak is possible if you're selling it.

Bucky, that's another reason. A guy wants to buy it Friday, and mentioned jail breaking it, so I'll leave it at 7.1.1. I'm off today and tomorrow, work wed&thur, off fri sat sun. I'm lining up early afternoon Thursday, and my wife will meet me later after she finishes work. Gonna be's iWeek lol.

I just arrived to US a few months ago. I wanna buy from apple store on Friday as I missed pre order. How many phones can I buy at the store on that day? When should I start lining up? Nearest apple store is 2 hours drive from my place.

Not sure about how many, but you should line up a day early. Good luck and enjoy bro.

Better get on iOS 7.1.2, the latest version of iOS that’s jailbreakable by the Pangu tool. Shortly after Apple releases iOS 8 tomorrow, it won’t be long until it closes the signing window for iOS 7.1.2, meaning you’ll be stuck on whatever firmware version you’re on or will be forced to update to iOS 8. There’s no reason NOT to be on the latest version of iOS (7.1.2) which fixes security holes and gets rid of bugs and is easily jailbreakable with Pangu.

Today I placed a call from my iPad via iPhone, it was pretty cool. iPad calls via iPhone,it is nice if you are home and your cell is in another rooom. Wifi needed though. I am sure yuo will enjoy those features. Although some will think it is pointless if you already have a phone.

I can't be mad... I am actually glad that Apple customers/fans can get some much needed pizzazz if you will. iOS is just a glorified app drawer but now with all those "original" (Android) features they will experience something new & exciting. We all know why Android is the #1 Mobile OS in the world. Now iOS users will see first hand what it's like to run Android... even if it's an older version of Android.

Yes, we do know why it is #1...because it caters to the low-end market. Delude yourself all you like, but the only Android OEM that is doing more than surviving is Samsung, and even they have started to backslide. Selling cheap phones, without making any money on the high end, is all Android has going for it. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't.

That's cute. Real cute. In the world there is something called choice. If people don't want Android, they wont buy it. It's actually really, really simple. It's not that they cater to the low-end, it's that Android gives OEM's choices. Android doesn't say please sell to the low-end. The OEM's make that "choice". Why doesn't iOS sell in the low end??? Because they (Apple) "choose" NOT to. Looks like you just fell off your high horse!

VAST MAJORITY of those people chose a cheap phone, NOT an Android phone.

I see what you did there. JIGGA LOL. +1

You don't have to justify your precious Android every time someone talks about iOS you know. You just come off as desperate. Android wasn't original either btw. Most of its feature came from other platforms as well. You're not even properly giving proper credit where its due.

We already know what it's like to run Android... and that's precisely why we use iOS.

And here's hoping Android fans will eventually get the smooth, consistent and enjoyable experience that us iOS users get. I'm not holding out much hope you'll get it anytime soon though, sadly.

"Now iOS users will see first hand what it's like to run Android... even if it's an older version of Android." Oh crap, you mean when I get my iOS8 update, my phone will be laggy, this will be the last update I'll ever get, and I'll have to wait for it for the next year or two before my carrier lets me have it? Oh crap, you mean, I'm not gonna have Facetime, iMessage, the wonderful face-to-face service in Apple Store. Oh crap, no more 64bit architecure, no more perfectly working Touch ID FP scanner, no more iMovie, and iWork, and best and exclusive games and apps like I had on iOS so far like Hyperlapse, SkyGamblers (latest games), Godus, BioShock, etc? Oh crap, you mean that I'll have to pull my battery out all the time because my brand new Android phone is freezing due to files corrupting the transfer to my SD? Oh crap, you mean like loosing my photos and contacts out of the blue like people are experiencing on Note 3? Or the sudden battery drain on select Samsung phones? You mean, I will have an OS that never releases anything ground breaking first like Mulit-Touch, App Store, Personal Assistant like Siri, Find my phone and lockout features in case it's stolen? iOS in the car, Health monitoring that's connected to your hospital and your doctor? No more fully customizable notifications screen, per-app permisions, crisp UI that doesnt get in the way. No more changing settings with Siri, No more "find-my-friends", no more using Siri to set up a table for two in my favorite restaurants, no more. And here I thought we're going to get awesome iMessage features, even slower Slow-mo, the best cloud integration with added drive features. Dont forget, we get Google Drive and the rest your precious Google Serives just. like. you!!! And sometimes we get them and their respective updates before you do. God my entire experience with iOS and its ecosystem that was unmached by any platform - is going to be gone - according to SuperAndroidEvo - us Apple users are going to now inherit the MESS that Android was 2 years ago.. Oh The Agony... ... lol... I get it, it pisses you off that Apple users get all the goodness of iOS and now, we get even better versions what bunch of you Android Fans were scraping to justify your reasons for being with Android... Look dude, Android has followed Apple and still copying ideas, some are actually forced by gvmnt. on Android after Apple demonstrated it (remote phone lock, anyone). It followed Apple after the Touchscreen, it followed apple after the AppStore, it followed Apple after Siri, Touch ID, CarPlay. There are hundreds of details that Android still CANNOT DO - release an update for their phones on time (or at all) and to push it - release instant updates for 3-4 years for each of their phones... Even Nexus is cut loose after 18 months - pathetic. It's been a year since Apple introduce 64bit OS, and Android still unable to even try to move there. Man, this post is getting long...

... continued.. lol.. Android cannot match satisfaction ratings with any phone available - that tells me that all these Anti-apple spamers are full of it - most people do not enjoy their Android - but compare that to Apple users... And I understand if that satisfaction came at only a few users - but look at sales numbers (people are buying more and more, even without seeing it in real life - 16,000,000 preorders) because they have seen it over and over - Apple DOES NOT DISAPOINT. They only ones running around screaming Bloody Hell are android people - I haven't seen one Apple user unsatisfied by their new or a coupe year old phone. ANDROID CANNOT match the sales and on top of that back up with satisfaction ratings!!! THIS MEANS - that overall, android phones are not that good - they're good for a few individuals that need specific things - the rest of that market share are people who cannot afford a flagship - and iphone does not sell NEW designs cheap... But, go ahead "buncha isheep", "apple fools everyone" "only the iDiots buy Apple" and my post is "fanboy propoganda" - Who gives a hoot - all theis anti-apple vomit is disproved by millions on millions of sales of iOS devices... And it makes you ANGRY - and the proof, Apple-hating, iOS-hating, Apple-consumer-hating posts all over PA... Enjoy your rants, that's all you got!!!

.... no, you also got your Samsung commercials keeping you sane - otherwise you'd never get any sleep over this Apple iPhone/iOS thing that the world is buzzing about...

You really think 64-bit CPU is important in a device with just 1 GB of RAM? lol, hilarious.

You really think that the 1GB of RAM makes a difference when talking about the total addressable memory space? Lol, hilarious.

All I know is, my iPhone is smooth, crisp and works perfectly. All the apps look great, and work great. All the games are sharp, detailed, no lag, and issues. What difference does it make? I have no limitations to what I can create and consume on my iDevices - Android on the other hand, cannot even get an update on time, run without virus or malware protection, and you need to root it just to rid the device from bloat. You can go for Google Edition - but you're paying full retail, or you can get Nexus but hardware is "meh" - somehow Apple got a great running device with half the specs of super duper android - and it still runs smooth and benchmarks faster. So once again, what difference does it make - when everything works on iOS and works for years...
