iOS 6 Maps app to sport an in-house car navigation mode, says WSJ

While homebrew geocoding has been in the iOS Maps application since last Novmeber, replacing Google's positioning, now we learn that everything else will become Apple's piece of code too. Wall Street Journal reports today in a lengthy piece that its own sources, among which are current and former Google and Apple employees, confirm the Maps app swap.

sometimes you just have to stoop to their level to make them understand

and how do you know what level are we on?. unless you are an apple fan boy you only think you know.. second... in the Smartphone business Google came in after Apple.. so the notification area is not even Google's or android , they don't have the patent. and that's a typical Android mentality.. Google is buying patents just like Apple.. so next time don't think you came down to our level. because. you will fail .. just like Android tablets.

first of all, dafuq did I just read? Secondly, they have filed for the patent, it's not been approved yet... try to get your facts straight Dude...how delusionally stupid can you get by saying the notification area isn't even google's? ....What kinda weed do you chickens smoke? lol Android Tablets, not exactly failing are they? the Fire has been selling like well... Fire, and i predict in the next 1 or 2 years, Android tablet share will overtake iOS tablet share...just like what happened on phones. oh BTW, Android was being worked on before iOS....your logic, like you, is stupider than a headless chicken, and so, you fail. :D

notice how you use the relay on the future for all your comebacks.. example.-"Android tablet will sell in 3-4 years.. and why do you think the patent has been pending since 2009.. trust me . they will not give it to Google.. the Kindle Fire.. hmm 2 words... has faded... they are in 3rd place in the tablet market... I have been called many names but to question that I smoke weed.. that's a first... lol..

Well if they get it approved, Apple will have to remove the notification area in iOSx, and that will definitely piss of people. LOADS of people. aah well, first time for everything

Man...if the Kindle Fire is the apex of Android tablets then I'll definitely stick w/iPad. Let's be honest here, when it comes to stability - iOs is a lot more of a sturdy platform. Android fans are like jealous siblings who seek attention - so you nit-pick about the most insignificant things. Apple says they want to create their own navigation & here come the green robots with their darts of envy. You think Adidas hasn't borrowed a bit from Nike? HP from Dell? Ford from Chevy? People...it happens, its a part of competition & Android isn't an exception to this rule. Android may have been worked on before iOs (which may or may not be true - which probably is fabricated at best b/c Apple is one of the slowest companies to release anything as we all know so the fact they dropped first puts a dent in your theory) but the G1 was a pathetic excuse for a smart phone. Not until iPhone hit the market did we see a surge of innovation in the smart phone area. Every fire needs a spark & if you think Apple didn't shake the industry you name another phone in '07 that stirred the people as much as iPhone. Either you are just debating for debate's sake or you are 100% delusional. Every dog has its day & Android had theirs when the Motorola Droid hit which they havent looked back since. Android & iOs - two great platforms that have found different ways to do what they do. The bickering is ridiculous.

welcome to another revolutionary feature that android users have had for years. turn by turn navigation and map integration in to all sorts of stuff navigation drop down bars folders finally gettin an upgraded camera software voice commands fake multitasking dual cores wireless sync larger 16:9 screens iOS is becoming more and more android like every day. Yet.. android is the copy somehow. lol. you trolls need to face facts. Everyone just needs to get past this whole "they copied" BS mentality... especially the old, tired, and lame "they copied iOS" mantra. Android surpassed iOS in every way a long time ago, now Apple is catching up by copying the very features that android has held just about the entire time. EVERYONE copies, everyone steals. Everyone wants a feature in someone else's OS.

I just don't get you remix.. If Apple becomes more like Android than kiss innovation that you guys cherishes so much.. is thanks to Apple that keeps Android on its toes... the way I see it.. don't let Apple be like Android. and pray that iOS maintains is closed OS.. I will stop there as too much info for the fandroids to digest...

you spend half your posts rallying about everyone copying iOS, but when the obvious fact that iOS's latest hits have all come from other OS's, you just ignore it and keep on truckin. Sad sad.

you guys are all just arguing yourselves in circles. Apple started selling these touch screen style phones in bulk which made android pick up their game. since then android OS has showed a lot more innovation and improvement that iOS no doubt. iOS is simple to use and Apple fans love it cuz it is fluid all the time. But there is no denying that Androids OS is far superior in design and ingenuity and now they are finally getting them to work perfect all the time. Both companies challenge one another and that is why we see them improving so rapidly. Keep in mind the original iPhone only came out 5 years ago... this is just the beginning. So quite bitching at one another and just accept that you like one or the other. I have an android and love it. most my friend have iPhones just cuz everyone else has an iPhone so they think its the best phone and it cool. obviously they don't know s**t cuz there are like 6 androids that are at least as good as the 4s. I like having a phone that the average person doesn't know about but does more than their iPhone. but thats just me.
