Huge leak of official cases for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro confirms major differences between the two
This coming Tuesday, May 14th, the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be officially unveiled. And while a number of renders have been disseminated giving us an idea of what the phone will look like, WinFuture has published (via GSM Arena) pictures of the official OnePlus cases for the new models. The images "confirm" the vertically mounted camera modules on the back of both models (containing two cameras on the OnePlus 7 and three for the "Pro" variant), and the popup selfie snapper on the premium unit.

The report also included what are allegedly final specs for the OnePlus 7 Pro. According to this leak, the OnePlus 7 Pro is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display carrying a resolution of 1440 x 3120. It is the first handset from the manufacturer to sport a 1440p QHD+ screen. The aspect ratio works out to 19.5:9 and the display has a pixel density of 516ppi. With a 90Hz refresh rate, users will have a smoother gaming experience than found on most non-gaming phones, which typically have a 60Hz refresh rate.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform, Qualcomm's latest and greatest chipset. There will be three configurations available: 6GB of memory with 128GB of storage, 8GB of memory with 256GB of storage and 12GB of memory with 256GB of storage. The device sports stereo speakers. Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery that uses the same Warp Charge 30W (5V/6A) system found on the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.

The triple camera setup on the back features a 48MP primary camera using a Sony IMX586 sensor. It carries an aperture of f/1.6 and optical imaging stabilization (OIS). A secondary 16MP camera features a wide-angle lens, an f/2.2 aperture and a 117-degree field of view. And the third camera has a telephoto lens providing 3x optical zoom and sports an aperture of f/2.4. 4K video is recorded at 30/60fps,  1080p video at 30/60fps and 720p video at 30fps. Super Slow Motion video is recorded in 1080p at 240fps and in 720p at 480fps. The 16MP selfie snapper uses a Sony IMX471 sensor and pops up from the top of the phone. It comes with electronic imaging stabilization (EIS), an aperture of f/2.0, and captures 1080p and 720p video at 30fps.

The top of the line OnePlus 7 Pro will be available in just one color

European pricing is part of the leak. The model with 6GB of RAM will be available in Mirror Gray only, priced at 699 EUR (equivalent to $785 USD) while the variant with 8GB of RAM can be purchased in Mirror Gray, Almond, and Nebula Blue at a price of 749 EUR (equivalent to $842 USD). The top of the line 12GB unit will be available in Nebula Blue only, carrying a price tag of 819 EUR (equivalent to $920 USD). There will be a 5G version of the phone, although it won't be made available in the states.

Today's leak didn't carry the final specs for the OnePlus 7. This model will feature a teardrop notched 6.2-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340 resolution.  It also has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and is powered by the Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. There could be two different configurations, one with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage and another with 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage. The dual camera setup on back will sport a 48MP primary camera and a second camera with a telephoto lens. The phone will be equipped with a 3700mAh battery, and pricing could start at $579 USD.

Both models will come with the Android 9 based version of OxygenOS pre-installed and could be released in the U.S. on May 22nd. The OnePlus 7 Pro will be a T-Mobile exclusive in the U.S.
