Huawei open to acquiring Nokia, but calls Windows Phone "weak"

Huawei is definitely serious about continuing to grow, and Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei’s consumer business group, thinks that one good way to do that would be through acquisitions. Yu has always been particularly media savvy and he showed it again today in an interview with the Financial Times where he said that Huawei is "open-minded" to purchasing Nokia...

Is that why it's been failing for the past 10 years and needs funding to be kept floating! More like Wp8 is trash!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! This is bad. If Huawei buys nokia it will make the best phone manufacturer into a junk dealer. Nokia is far better than to be turned into that.

I'm laughing at the WP fanboys. Nokia really needs Android, and it's not like the team behind Nokia will be kicked out, it will probably be given better tools. Just remember, Nokia has to pay licensing fees to M$ for a crappy OS that doesn't bring much market share. Android has a huge possibility, and if Nokia had Android in the first place, Samsung would've been the second Android manufacturer.

And your blind Android fandoyism is just lame!!! Does there really need to be another android manufacturer in the market? WP is a great OS. If you haven't used it then you should not comment about it. It is a great OS with lots of potential. It is buttery smooth with lots of cool features and the App and game Lib. growing everyday. Competition is good for everyone.

Or, why couldn't they have produced phones for both OSs? Every other manufacturer that makes Windows phones also produces models for Android. There is nothing wrong with diversifying, it's actually a safer bet. That way if one of the OSs doesn't pan out, the other is there to fall back on. If Nokia had gone with both I don't think we'd be seeing Samsung in such a dominant position, we'd see Samsung and Nokia as the dominant 2 oems with Moto, HTC, & LG vying for 3rd. The fact that MS is paying Nokia to build it's marketshare says to me that they're not completely confident in it. I have nothing against MS necessarily, I planned on trying it out next time I upgrade. But things seem very uncertain to me. To get locked into that for 2 years is risky to me.

I used a Lumia 928 the other day and I have to say, there was just as much lag on it as on my S3. Intermittent lag was one of the reasons I pondered switching to WP since they say there is no lag. But I really couldn't see any difference between the two, lag wise.

You forgot to mention all the other noname manufacturers of Android devices. There seems to be that there are like thousands of junk dealers of Android devices. It cheapens the experience. Nokia builds Quality with a great OS.... NOKIA FTW!
