Definitely has a Galaxy design language to it. That notch just feels out of place. Essential is the only one so far that does the notch design the best way.

It feels as out of place as the notch on the hideous Google Pixel 3XL, lol.

MG, I'm actually hoping that Google presents us with something completely unlike the "leaks" we've seen so far regarding the 3xl. It's a long shot but the argument made in this article definitely got my interest... https://www.phonearena.com/news/Google-asking-YouTubers-permission-for-Pixel-3-XL-videos_id108583

Yeah, I read about that, and I'm hoping the same thing. I doubt it, but I still have hope, because that Pixel 3XL design is FUGLY.

I agree Subie. I wonder if Google is throwing us for a loop because I think the notch is a terrible idea. Only essential has pulled it off like a boss.

Too bad they couldn't pull off any meaningful sales like a boss, lol. They probably won't be around this time next year.

Well we know it won't cheat on the benchmark tests.

But it will have a plethora of software and hardware issues, as history has proven with the Pixel line.

Not for me. Don't like the notch and prefer flat screen.

I'm looking more towards the regular Mate 20. Not a fan of curved screens, too many reflections when your in a bright enviroment. Also i hate large notches, i can just about cope with a waterdrop but that notch on the pro would drive me nuts. I've been a Huawei / Honor user for the last 4 years but i'm pretty disapointed with the design of the Mate 20 Pro.

That's the only thing I hate on the S9. I wish they would have gone away from the curve screen.

Notch?! Is a design failure. It's as dumb as using glass on both sides of a phone. But at least you can cover one if them up. Can hide that hideous eyesore.

You can hide the notch in the settings menu...

No you can't hide any notch that's a dumb argument then your just wasting screen to try and disguse the notch which then defeats the purpose of a notch which is to try and increase screen to body ratio

You don't waste screen, you get a bit more of it. Otherwise it would be just huge black bezel on top.

It doesn't defeat the purpose. When the software "hides" the notch it simply adds a black background to the display area on either side to disguise it. That area is still used for the notification bar, though. So you do not lose any display area when it's hidden.

You seriously need to come up with a solution for double post.
