Huawei starts testing Android 9 Pie on four smartphones

These phones are being internally tested, so there aren't any beta programs available for users, which might be an indication that it could take some time until Android 9 Pie gets released...

That's sad. Their phones didn't participate in Android P Beta program. Now they have started testing P on just 4 of their devices out of dozens of other ones that have been launched this year or last year with kirin 970 and deserve Android P as well as 1 more update. This is pathetic software support to say the least. While many manufacturers who participated in Android P beta program are on the verge of releasing P stable versions in 1-2 weeks time with Essential taking the lead. If they can't even provide support, likes of Huawei/Honor should just outright stop releasing similar phones every other week just because it brings them sales and limelight from uninformed users. Even though Samsung isn't in any way good in this regard, they are at least better in the way that their phones are getting 2 android updates and somewhat regular security updates.

I see a similar pattern in all of your posts, hating on Huawei whenever you have the chance to do so. 1- Huawei releases all their phones with the latest stable Android version available, the P20 Pro was released with Android 8.1 when the S9 was released with Android 8.0. Now the Note 9 got released with Android 8.1, and I can bet my money on it that the Mate 20 will be shipped with Android P. 2- P10 was updated to Oreo at the same time the S8 was receiving the update. The Mate 9 beat the S8 to the update by more than 2 months. 3- Again, I'll bet my money on this, and you can bookmark this page if you want, the P20 Pro will receive Android P before the S9 and Note 8.

True. These Huawei fans are worst. Their flagships are getting one update at max. That is pathetic to say the least and they want to compare it with Samsung

I had the P8 before and was updated to 6.0 from 5.0 and security patches for 2 years. Yeah, it should have been updated to 7.0 but I'd rather have a stable OS rather than laggy phone because of forcing it to update. I gave it to my sister and it's still functioning as well maybe 15-25 milliseconds faster than Samgsung S6 based on my test for day to day operation. Huawei phone is not bad actually, I just don't like their UI same with MIUI good thing there's nova launcher.

You are wrong. P20pro will receive Android P before note 9

And that would be the only update it will ever get. Now read it over and again till it starts making sense.
