How those 9 million iPhones sold during the launch weekend compare to the competition

Earlier today, Apple said that for the three day launch weekend, it sold 9 million units together of the Apple iPhone 5s and Apple iPhone 5c; but how do those numbers stand up against competing handsets like the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and the Nokia Lumia line of Windows Phone flavored handsets?...

As a Windows Phone Fan, I can only hope for a quarter like this, much less three days. While I do not feel the excitement for this launch as there was for the 5, Apple enthusists could care less. Bully for them.

congrats to apple...I would also like to see how these flagships(iPhone, Galaxy and One) maintain momentum after first weekend!

The iPhone is the only phone with iOS so people wanting iOS are "forced" to buy the iPhone. While people who prefer Android have so many options. If Samsung or HTC were the only ones with Android they would sell as much and as fast as the iPhone.

This article just started a flame war for no reason. No matter how you put it, you simply cannot properly compare iPhone sales to others as the factors are drastically different.

What happened to poor sammy :/ results get a lil shocking, as they call it the worst iphone yet, managed to pull numbers larger then s4 and that too in 3 days.. i imagine what the figure will be in a month

I am not surprised by the numbers. Ofcourse there are more number of people who are old, non tech and kids than tech guys.
