How old is your current phone?

We love tech — that's why we are on this website, right? And we love reading about, trying out, and even owning all of the latest tech. We are pretty sure you do, too. But there is a world beyond our expensive hobbies and it often does not allow us to have the latest and greatest in toys. So, we hold our childish enthusiasm at bay and compromise.

I use OdexLite v4.2 with Xposed as my daily because of personal preference. Its development stopped though & has only August security patch, but its battery life is way better than any other roms I've used or the stock Samsung rom. It's very debloated & fast. Ultimate A8 2016 v2 & Mipa 0.3.5 have latest updates. Both are very stable, have good battery life & can be used as daily without issues!

I surely want that Mate 10 Pro. How are you enjoying it? If I hadn't already plunked down a G-spot for the Note 8, I would sure be getting that phone. It is a beautiful phone.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Huawei P10 both less than six months old. I'll be keeping the Xiaomi for a couple of years but the P10 will probably go within 6 months.

Can we get a do-over poll? Do you mean how old is the phone itself? Or just how long has a person had it? Someone who just bought a phone a month ago could click the 0-6 month box, but their phone is actually closer to a year old because their was a good deal on it. Different ways to interpret the question.

I don't really know how old my phone is, but I suppose I could go lift the body of it off the wall in the kitchen and see if there's some info on the back.

Moto X (2014) here. Purchased it in Nov '14, but its screen got shattered in Jan '15, so Moto got me a brand new one (for free, which was insanely cool from Moto). Tomorrow it'll be exactly three years since I got the replacement model, so I guess I still fall within the "24-36 months" category :-)

Me too. I plan on keeping this one for a few years for sure. Added the black leather case but tempted to return it for the brown leather one.

Currently using Motorola Moto X 2014 (2nd gen) running on Marshmallow. It's still very fast & have no issues only the problem is with the battery as it now gives me only 3.5/4 hrs of SOT,but it's still fine for me as I'm not a poweruser.

Galaxy s5 here. 1) Removable battery so I don't have to worry about paying a company to replace it when it gets old. 2) Removable battery so I don't have to worry about a company slowing down my phone when it gets old. 3) IR Blaster so I don't have to look for my remotes when I'm binging on GoT, or True Blood at night. 4) Removable battery so I can replace it and get instantly full battery while I am running 2 businesses from my cell phone. 5) Water resistant so while I freaked out, worries were dissipated after the phone turned on after the toddler put the phone in the fish aquarium so "Meema could say hello to the fishies." 6) Great camera. 7) Service in Cave of the Winds in Colorado. A FREAKING CAVE! (Granted, that might be Verizon.) 8) 6 day standby time 9) I use my phone HEAVY, (Streaming pandora, instant and constant pushing of 11 email accounts, netflix for the the kid while he's riding with me... etc) so the fact that it lasts 4-5 hours I'm exuberant about that. What more could I ask for?
