Last year, a charity auction collected a cool $600,000 for the privilege of having a cup of coffee with...

"The reason why this charity method will improve apple's image is because of news sites like this..." True! Remember that Apple marketing team is not stupid and also know that.

"I don't even like apple but I'm not retarded or biased as a fangirl." Everything I have said, I don't see how it makes me a fan of something?!

Hey! apple is filthy rich, they can just give huge donation without hilighting or any marketing stunt of a meal with Cook... well, may be he is a part time cook in a restaurant, who knows?

Tim Cook makes enough money. He should just donate some of his cash

Donating is hard for humans no matter how much you make. Millionaires might view themselves as not filthy rich and desire for more money to become the richest in the world. They might not even spend a second with regular people because each second of their time can potentially be thousands of dollars that could've been earned. So we can't wait point fingures at people for not giving charity when most of us haven't either and we make money. We all have the same greed.

seriously why would someone be that retarded and why for such a worthless company like apple, tim cook is a no body hell look what happened to apple when they fired steve jobs i honestly dont see the "new" apple lasting more then 5 years (were all people we all live and die there fore if some one is stupid enough to pay 600k for starbucks with tim cook then why not pay your neighbor 300k just to see them every morning its f**king sad how retarded americans are, and as for the charity bs you should honestly know better)

I hate Apple as much as the next guy, but calling them "worthless" is absurd. And predicting they'll be gone in 5 years is silly. I just want them to stop overcharging their customers.

I'm not going to go as far as saying they're worthless. But if you look at their actions since Jobs passed you definitely see that they've gone from being a revolutionary company to being a reactionary company who's only real bonus is great build quality. Jobs was a visionary genius and they've lost their genius mentor. Now the rumors say they're planning on increasing screen size to 4.7" and 5.5" on the iPhone? Those were Samsungs 2012 screen sizes for the GS3 and Note 2. They've become reactive instead of being a trail blazer. So I can see what people are saying about them becoming very stagnant just like the days when Jobs left last time. It will take them a very long time to free fall into the pits if that ever happens. I highly doubt their stock will ever drop below $100 again.

Frankly, I see the larger iPhone screen sizes as inevitable, yet baffling. Obviously they see the trend with Android phones in having bigger and bigger screens, and want to cash in. Yet so many iPhone owners have stuck with the iPhone because they AREN'T so freaking huge. Conversely, it baffles me that there aren't more powerful, yet small, Android phones to compete with the iPhones' size. The Sony Z1 Compact is the only one that matches its big brother's specs. And it's not even (officially) available in the US. There are a couple "minis" that aren't horrible, but even the better of those are still neutered versions of their big brothers'. If Apple is stupid and abandons the smaller phones, it'll only be a matter of time before Android manufacturers clue in and fill in the niche that Apple left behind. But Apple will probably keep a smaller alternative - at least they should. It's ironic that the iPhone 5 is considered "small" now, wheras when the original iPhone came out, people (myself included) balked at how big the phone was.

How much you gonna pay me? Or, maybe I'll take up a donation collection, with the promise that I'll drop trou and defecate on his entre. Because Apple has been crapping on their customers for years with their price-gouging.

So,,, Tim is pimping himself out, eh JK :) On a serious note, the amount of money apple has, you would think 100,000 would be a drop in the ocean

First of all I didn't mentioned Apple! Also if it is not "show off" thing then why not JUST contribute money for charity instead of buying lunch with Tim Cook?
