Here's how Verizon's unlimited customers can get 6 free months of Apple Music starting today

If you're a subscriber to one of Verizon's unlimited plans, today is the day that you can activate your free 6-month subscription to Apple Music. After the 6-months end, you will start getting billed at the regular individual rate of $9.99 per month. That is why you should make a note on your phone to remind you a couple of days before the free 6-month subscription ends. This way, if you're not satisfied with Apple Music, you can cancel in time. In fact, you can cancel the free trial at any time before it ends.

To take advantage of this freebie, Verizon's Android toting customers need to install the Apple Music app on their phone by tapping on this link (iOS users already have the app pre-installed). Android users also need an Apple ID which can be created by clicking on this link.

Once you've completed those two tasks, open the My Verizon app on your phone and go to Account and sign-in. Then, tap on Add-ons and select the lines you want to receive the free 6-months of Apple Music. Go to the Entertainment tab at the top of the app and you'll see the Apple Music offer. Tap on view to see more details about the free trial. Agree to the Terms and Conditions by tapping on the check box, and then click on Get Apple Music. Confirm this with one more tap, and then you're done.

If you don't have the My Verizon app on your phone, you can direct your browser to vzw.com/applemusic. Apple says that this is just the first step in an exclusive partnership between the trillion dollar tech giant and the nation's largest carrier.
