Here is what the unannounced Nokia 7.1 looks like

We're not yet sure whether or not HMD Global will introduce a new Nokia smartphone on October 4, but we do know that the Finnish company has an important smartphone-related announcement to make next week.

If HMD does indeed plan to unveil a new smartphone, it can only be the Nokia 7.1 and/or some of its variations – Nokia X7 and Nokia 7.1 Plus. The former will be launched in China, while the global version will be released as Nokia 7.1.

Now that TENAA, the Chinese regulatory agency confirmed the existence of the Nokia 7.1, and published several pictures of the phone, we're more convinced that it will be launched by the end of the year.

It appears that Nokia 7.1 will pack a dual rear camera (13MP+12MP) and a fingerprint sensor positioned on the back side. The phone doesn't seem to feature the notch, but the Nokia 7.1 Plus might. TENAA also confirmed some of the handset's specs, such as the 2.2GHz octa-core processor (probably a Snapdragon 710), 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
