A lot of innovatiove research happens in India. Like the one we are seeing right here. But then after making a big fuss over media the whole idea just vanishes in thin air. Maybe because of lack of support, optimism or whatever.
Lack of awareness about patenting, no encouragement/programs from Government and lack of overall commercializiation enthusiasm drives innovations toward death. I get the feeling about this one as well... Good idea but best luck.

Sadly you are right. If these same guys start to work for US companies like microsoft, google etc, they do great things, but within India they hardly get any support. Unlike China, India's growth and development has been inspite of its government.
