Seriously considering a Note device, as my 4,7" One X looks average sized after owning it for quite some time if the screen is truly unbreakable that will be quite cool but something i don't believe is the "13MP-16MP rear camera that is supposed to allow the user to take professional quality pictures and videos." It doesn't take a professional to tell people that a phone cannot match the quality of a professional DSLR, limited dynamic range, limited DOF, noise, lack of optical zoom, etc. Unless they use a Nokia 808 like camera?

Thats not true. I have seen some pictures that came from cell phone and look just as good as DSLR.

You must have a problem in your sight then, or the pictures were heavily photoshoped no phone apart from the 808 can get close to a dslr. And while the 808 is much better than most phones it just can't get close to DSLR that have much bigger sensors and much, much bigger and better lenses.

Maybe not a big deal to you.... But the Note line has become something of a technology showcase. For example, S-Pen works, while the software clone on the GS IV is probably going to have... teething issues. I don't buy a flexible display this time around, though. Maybe the Note IV for that. But 5.9 inch full HD display in the current Note II footprint (along with the Exynos 5 octacore chipset) would be the definition of cool. It would make the iP6 envious.

iAgree, it sounds more like an iPhone upgrade, also known in the tech' world as an iUpgrade.

Anyway, I'm happy with my BEASTLY Galaxy Note II so, unless Sammy announces an Octo-Core 6.3" with 4GBees of Super Unbuffered and Unhindered Wham-Bam-ThankU-RAM and a 16MP Rear Camera, I'm as satisfied as Rosie O'Donnel in a Hostess factory (but, no Ding-Dongs please - just Twinkies).

Actually it's not just a joke or a BS

It's been 5 days this rumor has issued in Korea.
However the article said that the flexible display on Note3 will focus on "Unbreakable" rather than "Bendable" this time.

So I reckon, according to the news, Note3 will be like the one we saw at CES.
5.7"-6.1" display with less bezel and bent shape would be just as big as Note2.

Another assumption is a folder type display. Even though I prefer this one over previous assumption, I think it is too much asking at this stage.

5.9" might seem already to be a bit too big but if they can manage to do what they did with the size of the s3 and s4 then that would be really impressive

The Note II already has a one of the smallest bezels, so the Note III might be a slight bit taller. Unless they move their logo onto the home button as well as making the bezels smaller, then they might be able to fit the 5.9" screen without it being bigger.

this is what im waiting for XD
im currently holding the note 2, and its the best and most innovative android device so far (for those people who doesnt have issues with d size).. actually ill prefer it more than d gs4 coz i cant live a smartphone life w/o Spen, and im a student :)
im goin to buy gs4 just to have d 1080p amoled panel and d great features it has, and after 5-6 mos ill hand it over to my Mom, and ill get the galaxyNote3 :D cant wait
and by that time the galaxy tab3 will arrive, so note3 w/ tab3=perfect hehe

And then when Samsung makes a 5.9 inches, 5.5 Will be too small for you, right? You are a true fanboy.

hmm? choybrwn22 is correct, as a note2 user, it really feels awkward for us to hang around w/ below 5.5" display..
wer still hopin that the whole size will not change as s3-s4 :)

still cant accept that ur xperias are always losing the battle

SAmsung has the largest number of mobile patents today and these patents by different companies are used by one another through legal ways and we also dont know if these samsung patents are also legally used by Sony, so dont talk in behalf of ur japanese companies, dont whine about copying if u dont have legal evidence abt it, samsung myt be once a blatant copycat before, but theyv learnd their lessons thats why s3 and note devices are praised nowadays..

5.9-6" 1080p AMOLED display

2 or 4 GB of RAM

Exynos 5 Octa at a slightly higher clock speed than the GS4

New version of Android

S-Pen enhancements

That's it. The only thing I see that's much of an improvement over the Note II is the RAM (if I'm right) and display; maybe the new Exynos, but the Exynos 4412 still performs like a champ so it's not too big of a deal. Nothing Note II owners should drop money on.

I'd drop the money. as note 2 owner, i have no problem with the size, what excites me the most is the battery upgrade. 4000+mah please.

3,100 mAh wasn't enough for you? Not even with the ability to swap out batteries? Wow, that's surprising.

Don't forget all the newest features present on the S4. As a Note 2 owner, I also plan on investing in the Note 3.

Those new features will all make themselves onto the GS3 and Note II though. The only real reason I could see someone upgrading to the Note 3 is because of the display, everything else is either incremental or won't really have any affect on daily performance.

1080p display, power efficiency of the display and the exynos maybe, addl sensors lyk s4 for the added features,, and that "professional quality of pictures" mentioned if true and if will boast something spectacular, and if that bendable screen is true>then dealbreaker, and to think that touchwiz+Spen are still open for broader range of innovation, we can expect more :)

Not all of them. Some are hardware dependent, like the IR blaster, for instance.

Yes! After reading this my Note 2 is also happy. The Note 3 will be a substantial upgrade to the Note 2. Size is not a problem if you already had a Note device, I know the Note 3 will end up as the King. No shade just pure awesomeness! :D [+]

I just wish somehow that Samsung can improve on the handwriting recognition.
The full screen writing of the old Windows Mobile/Pocket PC was the best I've ever tried and it doesn't waste screen space by needing a seperate writing area.
