if customization and looks are what matters to you, android is perfect ....not so sure why you went for samsung, only if someone could change its "original looks" lol

You know, today is Yom Kippur - a national occasion in which people ask forgiveness from each other.

And thus I want to say - I am sorry Apple. I am sorry for bashing you in the last year, your idiotic pride and ego, your walled garden, your lack of innovation. I am sorry. Thus I would just like to say that I promose..

I promise to continue bashing and spiting on your filthy business etiquette even more in the next year!! I will continue to ridicule you ferociously without pause and I promise to do so until your very mention is synonymous with failure! :)

Dude you have issues, I hope you spend more time with a girl than you do attacking apple. Do you really think that $426,000,000,000 company cares about this post, your pledge, or your hatred of them? Tell me something? Cigarettes cause cancer, Pepsi, coke, and fast food contribute directly to obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Do you hate those companies as much as you hate apple?

no point talking sense with dudes like these. Sometimes people become what they hated in the past. Apple bashing is the in thing and considering that it's a big target makes it more alluring to people.

Exactly, and like you said he's doing it cuz it's the in thing to do. He even said it about a month ago, when I asked him, he goes "why do a bash apple cuz it's fun". If he was a real hater of apple, he'd take his issues to Cupertino's lobby and do a sit in. Sitting on the couch, munching chips while on his "iPad" ;) hating on apple is just for attention, and green thumbs. All he is, Is a consumer/follower that doesn't like apple products, except his iPad/iPhone...nothing more.

If the moronic masses didn't stuff their fat faces with these products would there be a market for them? You can't blame a company for the idiots that continue to buy their products thus fulfilling their point of being in business... To make a profit.

It's just like the idiots that blindly support Apple when they are constantly presented facts as to the inferiority or the overpriced margin of their products. Is it Apples fault that you continue to chew and swallow their BS or the consumers themselves?

If you're going to point fingers point it in the right direction.

so what, we have idiots who blindly quote benchmarks and stuff...every OS has idiot following.

I don't feel Apple is overpriced. They have dictated that price for lot of things.

Give me a phone with similar premium feel, smooth OS out of the box, updates, ecosystem you can't beat, compact and thin...i'll pay as much as i paid for the iPhone.

HTC One is the only droid i've got respect for.

Just to clarify a Droid and an Android smart phone are completely different. If you would like I can post you links to state why.

And yeah there's going to be a dud with all the of the low end smart phones that Android Companies offer. However, I challenge you to show me any high end Android device that is not smooth and polished when being used.

Or any high end Android device that does not offer many more features or better overall hardware than ANY iphone on the market even the "new" ones.

I'll wait...

Not trying to bash at all but I'm curious as to why even though investors have had a negative reaction and the stocks have dropped people are still questioning whether apple still has its mojo? Things like these are concrete and realistic indicators. Mix that with Samsung's success and android's global upward trend and the answer is already spelled out. Once again, not trying to bash, but is there really any doubt?

Rant ON:
Nice to see that 9 out of 10 people agree that Apple has lost it. But I do blame the media (that means you to phonearena) for giving Apple to many passes. You guys pump Apple's junk so hard you give Apple head honchos a good reason to sit back and do the minimum. Apple is no longer hungry because their riding high on your reviews. They think their invincible to the competition!
I also find it disturbing that when I visit Apple.com the very first thing I see is a year old blue plastic iPhone 5. The phone that is suppose to get all the attention is the iPhone 5s. I would have respected Apple more if they just made the iPhone 5s the plastic colorful one while pricing the old iPhone 5 at $100; that would have sold more phones because not only does it look different but you also get a faster cpu, fingerprint reader and "slightly" better camera. I won't say 64 bit is a pro because it's not needed right now for phone apps. Over 95% of the speed difference you will see comes from the faster cpu; not because it's running 64bit. It will take years before we need 64bit unless the phone can run a full blown OS when attached to a monitor. Only Android phones would be willing to go into that direction.
Phonearena; anything over a 7 score for the iPhone 5c would be a disgrace to you and the readers on this website. I don't even think the iPhone 5s deserves a 9 for what you get; a incremental upgrades with a new color from the iPhone 5.
Rant OFF:

This is the real reason for the common feeling... Every tech site kiss Apple's butt too much...
It is really hard to find a balanced, objective tech site that does not fall under brand preference...

Here use to be Apple, and in recent times has been shifting towards Samsung... And while I know that this is also directly proportional to the success of the tech they review... it could have been less bias...

In popular sites such as GSMarena Nokia is still crazy popular... not only among users, but the site team...

Anyway, I would never trust the rating of phones here that come strictly from reviewers (I would rather see the user rating if there are enough)

The same way I don't blindly trust the user rankings on GSMarena where you see 5/8 top devices being Sony phones... This only tells you part of the story.

No. Business 101. Make a product that people want to buy, then sell it at full price. I think Apple has that mastered. The iPhone is made for the masses that don't care about innovations. Housewives in North Carolina don't care about phablets, or quad core processor. They want to take pictures and play candy crush.

Fandroids. Do you remember last year when the iPhone 5 was released. The Fandroids said that was the death of Apple. Apple sold 56 million iPhone 5 worldwide. Some death.

I think Apple's overwhelming greed has finally caught up with them. Everyone finally saw them from who they really were with the really were with the release of the 5C. How a phone with very old technology and a seriously cheap plastic case isn't $49 I'll never know. I know people complain complain about Samsung using plastic but at least they use good plastic and add accents and make and effort. That 5C unibody looks like it was molded out of a melted down Barbie doll. Apple just seems like biggest bunch of hippocrates and I think that's why they're brand is starting to fail. Steve Jobs was a self righteous, greedy douche who milked all his customers... But at least he had the conviction to stick to his principles and that's what the zombies loved. He portrayed such confidence that they truly believed the Emperor was wearing clothes (if you follow my bad fairly tale analogy).... I think Tim Cook is standing on stage with his 2" hanging out and everyone can it it now. Lol.

I just a training on the iphone 5s and iOS7 and some of the features on it are pretty cool. like the flashlight feature in the control center is nice but its not innovative by any means. the airplay is also nice but all it does is allow you to play music over wifi/blutooth. again, cool, I guess, but not innovative. a lot of features are not in their separate apps but now in the settings menu. sweet. you put all the crap into one place. neat, but that isn't anywhere close to being innovative.

now the finger print scanner was not mentioned in any of the three trainings I just did on the new iphone and ios. so I cant really say much about how its going to work. but even that isn't innovative since there have been apps that do the same thing.

my vote is yes.

Has Apple lost it's mojo? I would say no. You still have a loyal following of Apple users who will flock to them and buy everything that is manfacturered by them. There is still a need for their devices to be purchased by young kids, teens, women and trendy people who want the phone for no reason more than because someone they know already has it. What I will say is that Apple has lost some of it's attention that they once held by everyone. Apple and their devices mainly phones have become subpar now. With other companies like Samsung, LG and Motorola all releasing devices that surpass the iPhone it is easy to see how they could have loss their mojo in the eyes of some.

Hmm... Has Apple "lost" its mojo? No, I wouldn't say they've lost it yet. They are still media darlings, masters of marketing, and have a large fanbase... Plus they have a reserve of capital that even if they don't innovate anything consumer-compelling for a few years they'll still be able to operate until they do.
Now, do I think they've lost some of the mojo they had a few years ago? Then yeah, that would be a definite yes.
Even if they lose it completely, It's not like they're going away anytime soon.

Im still surprised that even though android is big why havent they been able to enable video sharing through mms, and what I mean WP8 and IOS automatically auto compress the video file for sharing, while android just gives you a message that says "file size exceeds maximum limit".

I'm pretty sure that's device and/or carrier related. I can send mms up to a few mb on my GS3 and it works just fine. It doesn't auto compress and I need to shoot the video with mms feature turned on but it does work.

Apple is more about marketing and creating illusion, creating a need and fulfilling it. Because of this, they are less concerned with innovation.
