Try 'complemented' - not 'complimented'.

No they don't have the best 2 phones. Just the 2 fastest phones.

Any of the GalaxyS phones. There is nothing that competes with them. Vibrant, captivate, epic, or fascinate. They have a class of android phones all to themselves between the S-Amoled screens, humming bird processor which is better than a snapdragon, and a dedicated GPU that only a rare few phones have (not the even the evo). the only thing its missing is a flash on the camera.

I agree to an extent. After checking out the Epic 4G, the HTC EVO 4G definitely has a better build - and seems more impressive with its evolutionary features. If Samsung crafted a sexy looking handset with the Epic, it could potentially be seen as a substantially compelling phone. Still, the Epic runs smoother than the EVO 4G in my opinion.

it also has a screen you can see outside, double the battery life, double the framerate in games, a keyboard, and other cool stuff. Evo was nice, but it just got beat. Dont let the lightness of the phone fool you, its made well. i have a vibrant thats already been put through its paces like a champ. the weight of the phone doesnt mean anything about quality. its a mind trick.

The EVO has 3 more megapixels on the back, a 1.3 vs. a VGA on the front, kickstand, and 2.2 Froyo (for now) as an edge over the EPIC... however the Sprint Galaxy S (EPIC) DOES have a flash on the back.. as well as a sliding keypad and 4G which puts it as the best Galaxy S on the market.. better than the EVO? Maybe, maybe not.. a good alternative, yes.

@remixfa as a fan of both devices, and after playing with both the epic and the evo, out of the box i still enjoy the evo more. Just an opinion, but even with the beautiful screen and the hummingbird processor (and one of the most exquisitely subtle slide out querty's!) i still enjoy the Evo build. I wouldn't say the Epic "beats" the Evo, but it's more like a Lebron & D Wade pairing... if ya know what i mean?

Did you noticed on the first picture that EVO has 5 bars signal whenever Epic only 2 bars. I wonder if it is antenna's hardware problem of just a software signal calculation glitch like on the VZ Incredible? On other pictures, only one has shown signal bars at 5 whenever phone has a keyboard open.

Thats because the Evo is on wifi so its displaying the 2g signal there and the epic is the 3g/evdo signal

Hey don't hate on the HTC Evo 4g. Both phones are great and beat down any phone on any network. Samsung galaxy s phones are great BUT only the Epic 4g gives you a better experience and more for the value of the price then any other galaxy phone on the other carriers. Stop comparing Evo and epic, don't make a case about it. It's Sprints best line up in a long time.

I still love my CAPTIVATE, but being a 4G phone makes it faster in downloading and surfing. I currently use the latest SAMSET mod rom with lagfix and EVO BLACKBAR and it runs quick - over 1900 in QUADRANT. But both of these phones are excellent and any SPRINT customer should be happy to have them. Finally, SPRINT does not suck so bad anymore....

Very jealous right now. I have Verizon.. and as much as I was looking forward to Droid X, 2 and now Fascinate ... Epic has them all beat. Besides the screen, battery life, CPU and dedicated gpu. Epic > Droid X ... feels better in the hand (Droid X feels too big/clunky) Epic > Droid 2 ... much better qwerty keyboard (droid 2 keyboard still sucks IMO) Epic > Fascinate ... same phone but has a keyboard WTF?! (and I believe it has a front facing camera too) Now looking forward to WP7 and Droid Pro

The EVO is several months old now and my experience with Samsung Android phones has been less than stellar while I can say my experience with HTC Android phones has been more than stellar. I got the Hero 2 days before official release because of Best Buy's rewards pre-release. I soon got the Moment at work so as to demo it to customers. So at the same point in time I had the Moment and the Hero. The Moment had a bigger CPU but lagged so unbearably I couldn't even stand using it, also, I found the lack of Sense disturbing. When rooted the phone just went nuts and almost ceased to work all together while I overclocked my Hero to almost the same processor speed as the Moment and it actually worked when rooted. I have a co-worker who actually bought the Moment and had similar problems so he traded for the Hero. We just recently got the Intercept in and while the lag seems to be a bit lighter it is still subpar in most aspects especially when compared to a phone like the Hero. My point is: until HTC just completely betrays me like Samsung did I think I will remain a loyal HTC customer. Their phones always have a solid build and are always top of the line. Not to mention in Sept. they are having a conference and they will hopefully announce a new phone with DC-CPU by then the Galaxy-S line of phones will be meh.
