How about you stop being a jackazz.. I know very good and well that you have no idea about this game. I just purchased this and its simply one of the best games on a portable and it has amazing for a phone graphics. You are the most absurd hater of WP.. If you don't like it don't comment. You come and spew hour idiocies and contribute nothing.

This is Halo 2 all over again. When Halo 2 came out it "required" Vista to run (It was later hacked to run on XP), Microsoft is using this and many other "exclusive games" to trick people into buying windows 8.

That's like saying m$ and Sony tricked customers into buying the ps3 and 360 because it couldn't play a game. Sounds like you have no idea how business works and spew more m$ hate. It seems you just like to put m$ under a microscope but no one else.

Theres a huge difference between the Consoles and the PC. They purposely made Halo 2 use DX10 so it wouldn't run on XP even though the support was their to run in DX9. Modders were eventually able to get it to run in DX9 so it would work on XP.

If any of the Halo Games got ports they would make them run in DX 11.1 so you would be forced to use Windows 8. The game would use no DX11.1 features, they would just disable it running on DX11.

Again which company doesn't use this logic? When you're making something brand new like an OS what do you do? Make something to showcase and sell that product. You idea of how things work are clearly blinded by your fanboyism. The phone is 150.00, of course there should be things that it won't do.

"Again which company doesn't use this logic?"

Most companies support all popular platforms with their products if their is a big enough demand. Microsoft and Apple are some of the top scumbags in the software industry. Windows is horrible, if this was a perfect world and everything I needed was on a linux distro I would burn everything I have related to windows.

Halo 2 did not make anybody buy windows vista, it just made a bunch of people on XP pissed of so they pirate and crack their game making their sales go down the toilet.

1GB ram ????? So all devices including Lumia 520,620,720 user cant play it.
most android phone with 512MB ram plays lots of HD games without much problem but all WP smartphone with 512MB can't, and people say android need more specs.
c'mon MS its your game please support devices with 512MB ram.

And remember Lumia 520 is the most selling successful Windows Phone(also best selling Lumia) if you support 512MB devices then all these user can enjoy the game and you(MS)get more income from selling the game.

And coming from a person who bought such a low end device you had to know there were going to be trade offs right? It may not play this game but it runs better as a phone than any in its price range. Point of the story is you can't have it all with that cheap of a phone, its bargain basement price had to bite you somewhere.

I am saying android phone in this price range of Lumia 720,620 run hd games without much problems and offer nice experience even with less specs than these WP'S.
okay i am using a law end WP device and I'm not ashamed of that but it definitely have nice specs, close to mid ranger(Lumia 520). but it wont run much WP games because of strict ram requirement even though it does have enough capabilities to run these games.

its like having everything but can't do any s**t with it.

Support for 512mb RAM devices should arrive soon. At least that's what they said.

The game is being optimized to run on 512mb WP devices.. And, What are you talking about 512mb Android devices run more graphic extensive games than 512mb WP devices❔.. That's I no way true at all... That's why all the guys at work who have crapy low end Android devices are always complaining about the games they can't play❔.. You must have just had good luck with a few games that you like on Android... Android just can't compete with WP in the lower end when it comes to bang for the buck.. This is why WP will surpass IOS in less than two years, and will start to challenge Android for a piece of its market share.. At this point it's inevitable.

And that's why when someone says that one or another OS is very well optimized and doesn't require high specs, I always say that good specs are required not only for OS but for applications and games which are running on OS.

Talking about WP and games, it is nothing new there already was inconveniences because of small amount of RAM memory in WP devices. They should consider that.

An AMD Quad core + 4Gb of ram will run windows smoothly but it will have garbage performance in intensive applications/games.

Thats what i have been saying for a while..even on Michael H article that says companies should stoo caring about specs...while i agree user experience is important but a person who buys a smartphone is not just gonna play with native stuffs...and better specs=better apps.lack of many 'heavy' apps on wp is an example..just like a desktop,we r always gonna need better cpu, better gpu,better/more ram...

Also higher specs means that there is bigger chance that your device will be updated to the newer OS in the future (or less "fragmentation" due weak hardware).

Higher specs means that you are making some trade off from other components like the camera or the mics of the nexus line
