What is it with the names? HTC U Life 11? Why can't HTC come-up with a striking and coherent naming structure? They can't seem to get the simple things right. HTC U 11 or HTC Life 11 woulda been better, IMO.

I really liked What HTC was doing with Boom sound and it's M line of devices. But what killed it for me was their insistence ( Peter Cho's) on the 4 Mp ultra camera and the huge bezels. The software was light and performed amazingly. The sound was incredible and the design and built of the One M7 was magnificent ( even Apple saw that and borrowed the design no doubt about it since the had a patent sharing contract after the whole silly ITC ban thing).

HTC had a chance to execute a undeniable exciting successor in the One M8 but it just did not capitalize on it. Everyone was expecting a better and bigger camera ( at least 12 mp ) but they stuck the same 4 mp camera (with a dual lens setup for depth perception) and a slightly improved design. That's when HTC just seem to be falling apart, IMO, and losing touch with it's users base. To hear the chief complains ( better camera, smaller chin bezel, Better advertising ) by it users and to openly ignore them was a big mistake that has hunted HTC to this day.

Then they Rushed the M9 and fitted it with some terrible 20 or so mp camera and a really Bad SoC ( don't blame them for this but they could have opted for Samsung's Exynos or stood on the previous generation SoC ) Really no new design. Then followed the M10 which completely dump what they were recognized for and their niche - Boom Sound.

it all unraveled with The A7 and the whole naming thing became ridiculous "U Fun."

At this point HTC will really have a serious management shake up or be acquired by LG, Samsung or Google.. I really don't see them surviving much longer. Its ashamed as I really loved HTC.
