0. phoneArena posted on 25 May 2013, 05:06

Despite talk that HTC is in freefall, the Taiwan based company has come up with its first big hit in years with the HTC One; the device has sold 5 million units and there is talk about a possible 'Google Edition' of the phone that would pack stock Android. Additionally, sources with knowledge of what is going on inside HTC say that a version of the device with a larger 5.x inch screen is being planned...

My HTC One just died after the update. Had to boot into recovery and factory reset to get it going again. Great job HTC...typical HTC. Lol

Plus the dead buttons issue popped up again after the reset. At least it happens only once a day or less though. It's a start but they still have a long ways to go if they don't want to suck.

The original HTC one is yet to be released in my country and now there is going to be a Google edition and a 5" ones?... it's look like HTC only cares about Western and Eastern markets but they don't seem to care about the Middle Easterns, a lot of people been complaining about the delay in Med HTC Facebook page but they doesn't seem care or even respond to there costumers, I have been waiting for whole but no more I already bought the Nexus 4 I'm loving it, too bad tho, HTC grabbed my attention this year but if they only keep on delaying the device like this they'r going piss off a lot people which most of them already going with Galaxy S4, this where I respect Samsung, maybe there build quality isn't top notch but there are the only company which give us there latest flagship on time.

HTC should try make a 6" ONE PHONE with 3000 mah battery. I don't see any 5" phone having a 3000 mah because these companies are dumb for not listening too our HUGE BATTERY demands.

As I sit here and look at some of my old batteries I had to replace in my past HTC phones(other phones as well), I can't help notice how many expanded in size. They bloated right up like a Jenny Craig candidate. These batteries needed to be replaced within 15-18 months into ownership. Luckily, I could just remove the back and replace them. I cringe at the thought of how many batteries sealed in an aluminum body will expand and put pressure on inner components of the phone with no one knowing, causing irreparable damage. Like cracking the circuit board.

Not under warranty, how much dollars will this cost the consumer? All sealed aluminum body with same battery technology, will lead to overheating and premature battery fail or even explosion.

Those are logical expectations but the last 2 however are pushing it if I may. IIRC Anandtech discovered that only the S4's (I9505 or all other non-Exynos, SD600 based variants) APQ8064"AB" (as opposed to what's supposed to be APQ8064T for a typical Snapdragon 600) are 1.9Ghz factory preset capable. Unless of course if HTC are able to cut the same Samsung deal w/ Qualcomm.

I'd rather see a Note II killing One w/ a .8" increase (5.5" to be precise) o.O? How hard is that? Plus the chassis would allow for a better excuse to include a bigger batt yes 3000mAh-ish would do nicely and for the love of God man don't keep the micro SD option just for the Japanese market? Get this done HTC!
