0. phoneArena posted on 29 May 2013, 02:33

It's time for consumers in India to see what the fuss is all about as on Wednesday, the HTC One launches in the country; it's been a shame that just while the Taiwan based manufacturer has finally released a phone that resonates with the smartphone buying public (5 million units have been sold so far), the company itself is in turmoil with top executives walking out...

They are too late... I bought S4 already.... HTC never learn... They are always late to the party.. And they release exclusive better variants to some markets (china).. I will not buy a HTC device until they treat all markets as same

As you know they were already suffering from producing enough devices due their Ultrapixel tech. So they went ahead and released in developed markets where people will buy more instead of India and China where they currently have low market share. Being a company it will only release a product where it sees more potential customer.

Similarly, Nokia sees a big market in India and China for its feature phone lineup. So they release some of their Asha phones first in India.

and read this article to understand why HTC released an exclusive version for China:http://www.phonearena.com/news/Here-is-why-HTC-One-does-not-support-memory-expansion_id43313

Yeah you're right They're late and too pricey than S4. Just had been to few Vendors no words yet.

You can actually get a S4 for around 35.5k at eBay IN right now.

Also there's no plans of launching 4G in India in near future so the model same as the Chinese wouldn't have been a problem at all.

I saw the One at a local store. mind = blown! Selling the Samsung S4 at around the same price as the HTC one price seems scandalous. I would have thought the screen was AMOLED if I hadn't known.it was equal to the iPhone 5's screen. Don't know which one is better. One thing though, the One was quite hot. It seems to overheat.

you can juice the battery for a 20 hour mediocre usage. it solely depends for what you use the phone.

Alan F. HTC One did not create a fuss..it commands admiration. Coming to your second point with top executives walking out, well its called life and corporate environment. I would like to see how you continue to work for phone arena if you get a whooping offer some place else ...just saying

EDIT- if anyone can make a phone this amazing (for the first time in android history) i'm okay with hiccups in its launch
