well after all the hype htc made about the nano coating or whatever they did and this is really an issue then this is a huge fail for htc,you would think they would test it before making such claims.

I had 3 HTC One S black, and the final one got returned for a refund.

First one chipped on week 1 from simple use and keeping it in my jeans pocket+ the HTC slim case.

Second one had USB chipping and wifi/battery problems

Third one came chipped already at the usb port. Fitted a gel case on it and kept if for 2 weeks until i couldnt bare seeing how quickly the chipping from the USB area had grown.

Throughout all my communication with HTC customer service in the UK, initially they were 'doing the replacements through the retailers as a good gesture' and then 1 month later they announced to me that the damage is 'cosmetic' and it is not covered by HTC warranty. Any repair would have to be paid. Also they repeatedly denied that HTC one S line has any flaws, and this is merely a few handsets that may have had an issue, hence they would not be improving their manufacturing process in any way, as rumors said in the forums.

To my utter disgust, they had the audacity to deny that HTC ever claimed that this phone does not need a case due to it's durability!!! (there is an official video on youtube about it!!)

I have a record of all my discussions with HTC about it. It is available to anyone wishes to investigate further, but personaly i think this issue needs a good lawsuit against HTC for false advertisment.

I am now waiting to revceive my SGS3, never going back to HTC after 10 years of using their phones. Customer service like this should be the downfall of a company.

Strongly consider getting the extended warranty! 40 days into the purchase and my HTC One S screen has cracked. It was NOT dropped - simply caught the edge of a coffee cup. I have the Diztronic case - nice but did not help apparently. HTC and T-mobile said I'm out of luck. Guess I'll have to get one of those replacement kits on youtube :(
