No way HTC gonna price this hideous BEZILLA monster 700 dollars while being a midrange. something doesn't add up. AND i hate the design by the way. Gonna stop listening to the rumors and actually wait for the real thing...

Even if this phone had top of line specs I wouldn't buy it because it's a shameless ripoff.

You can get the M9 for 350-400.00 USD off eBay or amazon right now. Way better phone than this one and it no longer overheats since HTC sent out that update that lowered its big cores lock speed to only reach a max of 1.6ghz

if core temp is is over 36C, cpu freq is lowered. Otherwise, it is 1.9. This is an aggressive throttling.

WTF? Either HTC is collectively insane or they are intentionally trying to self-destruct. Or both.

This is one of the ugliest phones I have ever seen and it's ridiculously overpriced. Good bye HTC.

Except that she is one of the co-founders of the company. Regards, Alan F.

Sorry HTC just because you make your phones look allot like an iPohone6/6s does not mean people will pay iPhone prices for it. BlackBerry may not stay in the phone making business but at least they are trying something new with the Priv to hopefully save the handset business.

Even though the original HTC One came out before the iPhone 6....

I returned my Galaxy S6 to wait for this phone. I was expecting something really great and powerful. What a let down. I'm hoping the specs and pics is a joke and they are going to release something really nice.

Why are there so many Apple lovers commenting on a HTC phone? & claiming it's some kind of an iPhone clone. It's so sad, desperation comes to mind!!

I own no Apple products but that phone does look allot like an ugly Phone 6.

HTC why... Expensive and mid-low end specs? what a horrible way to leave the smartphone business.

If it was $299 and wasn't ugly, then maybe.

I don't know if HTC is trolling or maybe its another wonderful click bait article from Alan Fail. Either ways it made me lol. $690USD? GTFO of here.

The general consensus here is that, based on specs alone, HTC is insane. And they'd be right to say so, which tells me that HTC is going to position this as something different than a spec-queen like most other flagships, that this device will come with some feature or service that provides real differentiation from the competition. Will that product or service be at all useful? Knowing HTC's recent track-record, probably not. But I think it would be a mistake to think HTC is betting people will buy an "under-specced" device without giving them something else, because even the M9 offers more for less, spec-wise. (...Aaaaand this comment went to page 2, AKA Comment-Hell...)

Probably stock Android 6.0 and sense dual boot. 6.0 with sense being already done with sense 8 would mean they got the 6.0 code super early and are getting special Google treatment or its going to be stock 6.0.

Isn't sense like a launcher to android tho? Hmmm.

It's funny how everyone call this phone an iPhone 6 clone when the iPhone 6 was a total rip off of HTC's design ( M7 ). Anyway way too expensive HTC. Especialy for a midranger.

People who make this claim are either HTC apologists or iPhone haters. The iPhone 6 is the offspring of the iPhone 5 and iPad Air. Those horizontal dividers in the back? Evolved from the iPhone 5.
