HTC Nexus Marlin render: this is what the phone will allegedly look like

Rumor has it that Google is about to launch two Nexus smartphones this year – just like in 2015. According to leaks, both handsets will be made by none other but HTC, and their codenames are Sailfish and Marlin. The former would be your “regular-sized”, 5-inch smartphone, while the latter would go into phablet territory with a 5.5-inch display. Other than that, both are said to be made out of metal and even look very similar, unlike the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, which were different as night and day, and built by two different companies – LG and Huawei, respectively.

I agree that last year both nexus used different CPU . Buy it is not an excuse for weak RAM management on one nexus . Infact 2GB ram of other devices like Moto x play with a weaker CPU than nexus 5x was better in terms of RAM management. Secondly i do not see a point why people say that custom skins are resource hog. If a nexus device which is a child of google itself leaves only 800MB RAM free out of 2GB , why stock android cannot be called a resource hog itself. Even redmi 2 prime which cost only ₹6999 with MIUI 7 on top leaves around 1GB RAM free out of 2GB . Infact i have not seen any popoular skin like flyme OS, MIUI appropriating more RAM than what a stock android in Nexus 5x appropriate for itself. I am not against the nexus or stock android devices. But i am really disappointed the way google gave step motherly treatment to last year nexus 5x. Maybe this year they would like to correct the wrong and provide same RAM on both nexus.

Do you think it's possible that maybe it's not necessarily every single Nexus 5x that's experiencing this? If it were the case, there would be more coverage on it. It's very possible those with this issue have an app or two that are dragging down the whole system. But I've talked with many 5x users (my nephew was looking at one) and most had no issues with their device. So while it doesn't help your situation, it may not be as widespread as you make it out to be. There is a big difference. Look at it this way, if a resource intensive skin is using all the RAM and leaving only a little bit for apps, or a non skinned OS is using a little ram but is holding more apps than the other in memory, then the skin is less efficient. Ram will be used up, no matter if it's skinned or not. The difference is, is the skin using more RAMand not leaving enough for apps to utilize? That's where the issues lie. When I'm talking about resource hungry skins, I'm not saying they all are, I'm saying the worst offenders like Touchwiz are.

Looks awesome, hope it looks like that! Will either be the Nexus or Note for me, can't decide.

Don't forget to mention those metallic NEXUS logo, like the Nexus 6.
