Guide shows how to get multi-touch gesture support on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
Recently, NTT DoCoMo customers in Japan who own the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 were treated to a patch that brought on support for multi-touch gestures. For a high-end Android powered smartphone, this feature wasn't offered from the onset and was once thought to never arrive. Granted that those NTT DoCoMo customers were given a patch, it now looks like everyone else will be able to get the same functionality thanks to the team over at xda-developers.

Right now, xda-developers posted step-by-step instructions on how to install a patch that will enable the handset to gain support for multi-touch gestures. Once you've carefully followed the directions, you can feast on things like pinch zooming in your photo album, but it's worth noting that it's not completely verified whether or not it'll be supported by all Android apps. Still, it's clearly better than nothing.
