Gramophone is a new music player for Android with a simplified purpose
If your stock phone music player is getting a bit long in the tooth, and you are a bit tired of all the options in the Play Store, a new entrant has popped up to remedy your pains.

The aptly named Gramophone bets on a clean, a bit washed interface, devoid of the myriad of options that, say, the ultrapopular PowerAmp throws at your unsuspecting, not-too-audiophile persona.

The app offers all the basics, though, save for genre categorization, and pulls artist info automatically, though no album art if you don't have it tagged and thrown into the folder. Easy to apply equalizer presets round up the beta offering, which still offers a simple, but functional widget for your homescreen. All in all, Gramophone doesn't offer many thrills, but is fast and simple, just clean music player fun.
