Google responds to Prime Day with discounts on Pixels, Google Homes and more
Amazon may be creating media coverage and shopping OCD ripples with its Prime Day goldrush, but Google isn't standing idly by and refusing to push its own wares. The Pixel line of phones and the Home, Chomecast, and Nest portfolios all got the discount treatment which ends today, so rush over to the Play Store or the Best Buy link below if you have been eyeing one of those for a while - your next best opportunity might not come until Black Friday.

First off, the Pixels, yey! You can save $100 when you buy a Pixel 2 XL, down from $849. Offer runs through July 17 at 11:59pm PT, coincidentally, just when Prime Day finishes, too. It's available only to U.S. residents aged 13 years or older with U.S. shipping addresses, sorry. If you want to get the Verizon model with installment plans, you are even better off with а $549 price. The smaller Pixel is $499 as a Verizon model, too, down from $649, sweet. The rest of the slashed prices are as follows:

Daydream View VR headset at $49
Google Home at $99
Google Home Mini at $34
Nest Hello Doorbell at $199 + free Google Home Mini
Chromecast at $25
Chromecast Ultra at $49
