Google wants to hear your thoughts on the Pixels' design

Google wants to hear your thoughts on the Pixels' design

The Pixel and the Pixel XL were Google's answer to the iPhones and the Galaxies out there, and it was a pretty good answer overall. Ticking all the boxes an exceptional flagship should, these two devices are definitely among the best ones you can lay your hands on right now.

Google seems to be rather content with the public's opinion on the Pixel and the Pixel XL, but as usual, there's always room for further improvement. One of the best ways to do that is to engage your customers in a constructive conversation and hear their input and feedback about the product you're selling, and that's exactly what Google's doing right now.

Krishna Kumar, the Product Lead for the Pixel phones, asked, and it's up to you to answer.

"I would like to hear your thoughts. What do you like about the design? What do you hate about it? What did we get right? What would you like to see us improve?", Krishna Kumar wrote.

The whole ordeal takes place on Google's Product Forums and in case you have an opinion on the matter, you can share it right here. Hopefully, this important feedback will be taken into account by Google when the Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 hit the drawing boards.

What about you? What do you love or don't like about the overall design of the Pixel and the Pixel XL? Feel free to chime in below.

They need to make it less iPhone-ish, reduce the bezels, and add front firing speakers.

...and external storage. The OS supports it now.
Personally I'm addicted to wireless charging.
As a longtime Nexus user, when I saw the Pixel announcement w/o wireless charging, I bought an S7.

Bring back Nexus 6 with 6" screen, wireless charging, bring back stereo speakers, more memory 256gb or external sdhc card, 5000 mAh battery and updates for at least five years. I will buy spares.

Phonearena.com;
Are you people affiliated to Google?

Or has Google given you permission to ask us anything?

You exhibit too much unprofessionalism.

Did you read at all and click the link to see the request made by Pixel's developer lead?

Thanks PA, appreciated knowing this was going on. Now I can take part.

This news was beneficial to me. Unhappy readers should not read what they don't want to know about.

The design is just too generic, nothing special. The successor must look unique, if Google wants their flagship to have its own character in design.

The default home screen looks good but the physical design is SO boring!

My favourite looking Google phone was the Nexus 6. That was one good looker!

Pixel and the iPhones are ugly. Specially round corners and bezels.

Come out with something that looks like Frankenstein iphone and now they ask what people want? Where was this question beforehand?

Reduce the forehead and chin. No need to make the screen bigger. Keep the screen size but make it more one hand friendly.
Battery improvements.
Less -iPhone like in the front.
stereo speakers.
waterproofing
AVAILABILITY!

ideally a removable battery & upgrade-able flash. I'd rather have the ability to change out my battery when it goes bad (or dead) over 0.1mm thinner. One of the main things that kept me on my Note4 instead of upgrading.

it's ugly...
Nexus6 is the best looking pixel/nexus phone IMO..
(but it's screen is too big, make it 5.5-5.7inch and it will be great)

There plenty of 5.5 inch phone. They should have another 6.0 inch or 6.4 inch phone.

Why not release a 5.0, 5.7 and a 6.4 inch to cover all the ground.

The screen of the nexus 6 was not too big. It was perfect and the last good design of a google device. Not everyone has small hands fyi.

Nexus 4 was the sexiest. They should have stuck with that and just evolved it.

Loved that phone. The only phone that was slightly wider than any other phone. Nowadays all phones are narrow tall and slim, rather than being wide like the Note series. Only the N7 ruined the note series. Being lookalike the S7E.

I think the pixel looks pretty good, perhaps not quite unique enough, but definitely good. They made two mistakes, the lack of front facing speakers, and IP water resistance. At least it 67 if not 68. Those changes would pretty much make it the perfect phone for me. :)

It sucks I really miss my note 7 I can't wait till I can get another Samsung. Taking screen shots was so much easier and the pen was a major help.

The design is crappy and outdated. Take design cues from what Samsung was doing 2016 and what Samsung and LG are doing 2017.
Even the next iphone might look ok, atleast the Oled version.

iPhone already looks ok Lol. Google needs to make there own phone not other manfucturter doing it lg, htc etc... make your own design same as Apple and Samsung .

Make an original design, addling a glass part is the only way to differentiate it from an iPhone

One word UGLY.
- front fingerprint scanner and no more on screen buttons.
- IPS display same as nexus 5 still remain one of the best screen to date ( Samsung Super Amoled still better than any Super Amoled used by other OEM's, Samsung knows how to makes they're Super Amoled as brghit as IPS, but other OEM,s don't that's why better to stick with IPS excellent panel overall and doesn't has issues like Super Amoled).
- Better hardware every single nexus had some hardware issue and trouble build quilaty and the worst goes to nexus 6P, Motorola nexus 6 build quilaty is excellent, but design ugly.
- water and dust restaint.
- stereo speakers same as iPhone 7/7 plus and mate 9 no need dual front speakers that makes the phone bigger and add more ugly bezels.
