I'm happy to see Google actually innovating again instead of trying to jump on the bandwagon with gimmicks a little too late like they did with G+, Google Music, and now the cloud service they're trying to put out. As far as reaction to the video itself, I love the idea of in-store navigation. I'm sure the larger big box chains would get in on this.

It probably reads your eye movements. For instance he had to look up to get the menu, & also when things like notifications popped up his eyes locked on to the notification thus opening it. I think that is how it works. I could be 100% wrong though. To me this is innovation & like I always have preached the Google X team is working on some sexy funky things. Apple's days of innovation are clearly over, the guys at Google X are brainstorming crazy sh*t. If this is out of the closed, imagine the stuff they are working on right now that is TOP SECRET! I am going bonkers thinking about it!

I think Nokia's Morph Phone Concept that is capable of being a phone and a Hand band is much more trendier than a One Eyed Pirate Though its amazing and appreciable technology by Guys @ Google. AFTER LOOKING @ THE POSTER ABOVE I GOT TO REMIND MY CHILDHOOD FAV. CARTOON ""'DRAGON BALL Z""". :-p Like I said the Google's Goggle technology is amazing but doesnt seem to be practice enough as you might wanna take it off from your eye but a Hand Band Nokia Morph that is Bendable, Fashion Accessory, Water Resistant. But practically I dont see Goggle thing to be that practically right...? Pls share your views I Guess Its a hot debate that I just touched :-P

I think that Nokia's "Morph" and Google's "Project Glass" is two different things, of course they can be compared, but they shouldn't be. At least it is mine opinion.

you are thinking short term. the first generation or 2 will probably be very obvious or borg like. What about 3-5 generations down the line? Then they will look like every day glasses that u probably couldnt tell from regular ones. 6 generations down they are sold at every eye doctor's office and walmart and are commonplace. The future is awesome.

I hope Apple is taking note b/c google just showed Apple whos the boss around here. Ever since they came out with the new ipad , which is the most disgusting name for a 3rd gen flagship tablet in the history of tablets. I still dont understand why they didnt call it the ipad 3. They arent Innovative anymore . Eat it Apple!.

Don't you worry, apple will steal the tech. market it as iGlasses next year, claim they invented it, sue google, charge thrice as much, and it will sell out all over. Thus apples circle of s*** completes itself.

whats so funny is if the article said apple created this... the same people that are bragging would be hating... either way this is awesome! glad we live in an era where people are taking risks to create futuristic products...

Most of the apple-dislikers on this site tend to be fairly openminded about actual innovation or improvements. For instance, You don't see them bashing the display quality of the new ipad, but they'll harp on its heat, battery, and connectivity issues. The apple flag-wavers though, with a few exceptions, tend to be extremely vehement that anything, ANYTHING, non-apple is awful and destined to failure and not revolutionary or magical enough, when they're similarly blinded about their hero company not doing what others are to keep themselves afload long-term. I see apple (and its cult) as the next RIM, too full of its own hubris to keep up with the long-term trends.

apple has been long term for quite sometime... android is definitely making a name for itself now tho... not because of high end devices but because its becoming a household name as apple has... i agree that the openmindedness to innovation is what separates the two companies and in the next 2 to 5 years android will be the top mobile company... the more options they give all buyers the better... metroPCS BoostMobile to Verizon and ATT android phones are on the shelves... poor people and wealthy people have choice and recognize that android can do the same things iphones can... i think thats what makes android shine the most... not because of a transformer prime or a SGS3... the point of my previous comment is that people HATE/LOVE things to the far left and right... never an in between... or respect...

Most apple users annoy the f*** out of me, though i am a user myself. (wow sounds like im a drug junkie or something haha) With Steve Jobs gone apple will fall drasticly since i believe no one else in that company can pull something innovated as this from their minds.
