Google confirms Nexus 5 production has stopped, but the phone will continue to be on sale in Q1 2015

We hate to see this one go, but the Nexus 5 lived a long and fulfilling life. Now, the time for it to ascend to the Heavens in the form of a glowing ethereal deer to the tune of sobbing Android enthusiasts has come. Bon voyage!

and to think Luis D., the nexus 5 is still 2 years ahead of krapple. I guess Iphone Arena is happy there is less competition pointing out how out dated krapple phone's are. haha.

Well... I have been trying to buy a 32mb Nexus 5 (black) for over a month. I have been checking in a daily basis and always has been "out of stock". I suppose this now means... officially out of stock forever!

Secondary market (like Swappa) is your best bet.

Thanks... I check the site (swappa) and it seems to be good just that is for buying & selling used cell phones. I am trying to buy one new. If I can not buy one new I probably don't have any other option than to buy a Nexus 6, if one day Google actually decides to sell them for real in the Play Store. (I don't buy phones to the carriers due to their added bloatware).

Actually sold my 32 GB Nexus 5 a few days ago and was glad I almost got full retail price. Would have kept it but battery life and camera still weren't cutting it for me, even after Google "solved" the issue. Also, Lollipop brought too many bugs for my liking.

Why is google going this way? they should produce a compact phone with an affordable price tag .. I don't want a 6 inch behemoth and many don't want one too ..

When Google/Lenovo starts making more 64GB Nexus 6 phones, that will be the one for me. Even though there is a 32GB Nexus 6 from ATT, I am not buying a carrier phone from ATT ever again. This is why I don't have a Note 4. Samsung + ATT = bloated to death.
