We hate to see this one go, but the Nexus 5 lived a long and fulfilling life. Now, the time for it to ascend to the Heavens in the form of a glowing ethereal deer to the tune of sobbing Android enthusiasts has come. Bon voyage!

n6 is pretty nice once you get used to the screen, but i agree. This could be a bad move for google (giving up on a normal sized phone in lieu of a phablet) unless.... They're planning a Nexus 5 2015.

Well except that tiny battery... EDIT:- Ooops... You are right, all Nexus phones have pretty bad battery life and so you are cent percent correct... +1 to you...

Best nexus device ever? No way. It was trash. I had it for a couple weeks and hated it so much that I exchanged it for the older htc one m7.

Really? Hows the sh*tty camera on the M7? and the pointless front speakers? cause really why do you need good speakers on a phone? If you listen to music you use headphones or external speakers. How bout Sense? Pretty sure not as good as Lollipop which the N5 just got updated to.

I'm a nexus user/lover too, bruh, but you just sound salty. Who cares what he thinks about the nexus. To each their own.

"the super-sized Nexus 6 will be the only Nexus smartphone you can buy new." Except,... you can't actually buy one.

You can buy one through a carrier...

Thought for sure it was going to stick around until a similar sized Nexus replacement was announced. Ah well...

Well, for all we know, Google will release a normal sized Nexus once the Snapdragon 810 comes out. I'm hoping (but not holding my breath) for a July release alongside Android 5.1.

I have long coveted a Nexus 5. Development for this phone is unparalleled. But the dinky battery has kept me from buying one.

Going to hang onto my N5s for some time yet. LG an Asus have been pretty decent Nexi OEM IMO. High Nexi Five!

I think LG did a great job with the Nexus 4 and 5 but I'm not sure about ASUS. I had touch issues with the Nexus 7 2012 and I have touch issues with the Nexus 7 2013.

I've heard that, but did not experience it myself by any means. Sorry to hear that though.

Isnt this phone only a year old? Please correct me if im wrong. Would have been smart for google to keep this wonderful phone going for those that dont want a tablet.

The real issue is the pricing for the Nexus 6 models. The Nexus 5 was relatively more affordable.

While I loved my N5, the battery life sucked. I got to the point I was having to charge my phone 3 times a day. I have had my N6 for about a week now and absolutely love the phone. I have 8 3/4" hands so this phone fits really nice. The battery life is really good. I leave my house for work @ 5:30am and still have at least 30% battery life when I finally go to bed. I will buy phablets from this point forward!
