90% increase?
Catch up in 2016? Really?

As a matter of fact, its good that Google is not catching up with the revenues of Apple app store. Because when you consider the fact that Google matched 90% of Apple's App Store downloads the only logical explanation to this is that in Playstore more apps are free and less priced.

From consumers' point of view, revenues don't need to be matched but downloads should as it would encourage new developers to earn their revenues through ad.

That's possible, although another reason may be the mix of downloads each store has. (I'm differentiating between product mix and download mix.) The App Store may offer better paid apps (I wouldn't know since I'm an Android lover) or the reverse, the Play Store offers better (and more popular) free apps.

probably, its time for enterprises to learn that with Android you can even copy a file or easily install any custom made app

I can not imagine any productivity with iPad without default app selection or free copy and open, nfc, select and translate etc etc etc.

really, just an iConboard from caves are iToys

Yet they barely have any Tablet-optimized apps.
