It looks like the A9 which looked like an iPhone clone.

Which Apple took cues from HTC.

Other than the metal body, where did the iPhone look like the HTC m8 or m7? And if Apple took cues from HTC, HTC ripped off the design of the iPhone 6. I had the A9 for almost 3 months and I absolutely loved it, but I can't tell you how many times It was mistaken for an iPhone whenever I am out with family or friends.

HTC started this all metal premium design with the m7. Other OEMs are ripping off from HTC.

I remember having a premium metal Nokia N8 phone in 2010 ;)

Yeah but it's been heavily influenced since the m7 debut and everyone wants all metal design phones and a big deciding factor to get a phone.

It looks like the HTC 10 with the fingerprint scanner on the back instead of the front and glass covering 1/3 of its back.

Haha, you're right. It looks like a good looking iPhone alternative. Looks like something I'd be interested in. Let's see what H1 2017 brings!

That's what I was initially thinking, especially from those photos in earlier articles showing the front and back. But from the video, it's more like the HTC 10 with chamfered edges, and the top and bottom bezels look too small for an iPhone. They said, there's still some similarities, including the antenna lines. We'll see what the event unveils next week.

I felt that it looked like an A9 but with the chamfered edges. And we all know where the A9 got it looks from.

The A9 does look like a carbon copy with the camera centered. Same curved side n corners on both front to back n vice versa, same thick antenna lines, same antenna line positioning, same single tone back colour, same fugly front bezels, speaker grill + headphone jack at botton, same home button + fingerpribt scanner placement, etc. This here doesn't have those similarities, only similarities I see are curved rectangular slab shape, curved from back (but chamfered at front), bottom antenna line, and side antenna lines like on 4s. TLDR: They're similar, but not that identical.

Looks like stereo speakers are still a possibility, iPone style. Top front, and bottom edge. Assuming the top front is dual purpose like on the Nexus 6 and 6p.

For those hoping that the glass back helps provide wireless charging I wouldn't count on it. It would mean you would have to place the top half of the phone on the charger.

Looks good so far. Glad they shrunk those bezels down from the bezelriffic 6p.

It won't beat the S7 Edge in anyway except for people who only like stock and for the fact it has timely updates but commendable nonetheless

Boo. I was hoping it would be a little smaller, but this is almost identical in size to the Moto Z Force.

Love the looks of this phone but it's gotta be the first flagship in ages without 2.5D glass?

It's got to that time where I'm not used to a phone NOT having a camera bump.

My god that's pretty big bezels. It's 1.8mm wider than the Note 7, which has a 5.7-inch display.

The Note 7 is just freaking slick looking. Too bad it got derailed by the battery issue or it might have been my first Note phone.
