All these designs are ugly when next to the oneplus 7 pro.

Oneplus 7 pro is a bad/outdated design. Its a bit much in terms of height and weight. The curved screen is so bad. Reflections are so damn annoying. Samsung sorta fixed this problem with a much steeper curve. Go hold it in your hand. You'll know what I am talking about. I held it and played around with it for a few min. Didn't like it.

LMAO! The hate for OnePlus in here is real. Go and ask random people on street which phone out of a Pixel and OnePlus 7 Pro looks better and i don't even need to tell which one 99.99% of them are going to pick. Somehow Samsung, Huawei with notches/punch-holes and similar curved displays and gradient back are amazing looking but 7 Pro is outdated. Well, fanboyism in here is real. Beautiful are the phones with huge and ugly bezels all around, notches and punch-holes!

Irony is when a dumba$$ can't understand a generic example. It was meant to represent general trend and how people think and perceive something.

Looks are definitely subjective. Talking about looks is always dumb, especially when the vast majority of the population will buy a protective case anyway. A few things this article leaves out is the capacitive touch sides could also add a lot more button like features to the side, including more programmable options. Plus it naturally makes the device more water proof in those areas.

You sound like a person who defines himself by what phone you use..... Very sad if true. Who cares what a phone looks like and who cares what other phones other people use. This argument is really getting tiresome.

How is the bezel less design outdated? When the s10+ has bigger top and bottom bezels but then that is new and beautiful. The irony here is overwhelming.

So a phone with all screen is outdated compared to ugly notches and punch holes? Lmao go home Fanboy.

I've never owned a One Plus. But the design of the 7 pro, looks nothign like it siblings. It has virtually no bezel. Has no screen obstruction like Samsung or Apple as examples. The design looks pretty fresh when you consider that even though Samsung has made a slightly new design each year, and on several phone models. yes the Samsung look cool, but they are a bit outdated. Come one now. I know you better than this. Don't get all fanboyish on me. Go back to being totally objective.

Outdated? Huh? I like flat screens myself so I'll go along with the curve criticism, but the design is not outdated. Sounds like you're just hating

The OnePlus 7 pro is actually an outdated and probably their most ugly design since the OnePlus 2. The pixel 4 will be symmetrical and beautiful going by the leaks.. it will be what an iPhone should look like. The pixel 4, Galaxy note 10, the Motorola razr and the mate 30 pro will be the most beautiful phones this year.

@AbhiD , I'm not even close to a hater , I love smartphones and tech.. have/had a few flagships . I currently own an S10 Plus and Xs Max. I had the 6t until a few months ago. I just pointed out the flaws in the design according to me. Why are you getting so riled up ?

Because he isn't accepting of your criticism. I think this looks better than the 6T. I don't how going from bezelled to bezeless is an outdated deign. I know looks are subjective. But it's like me an you looking at a pretty model and you say she is boring just because her B's aren't the size you think they should be. LMAO!!!! I'm picking on you a little bit. You're better than this. Don't get fanboyish on us now. I understand your opinion, I'm just not seeing how the Oneplus 7 design is outdated. It's one of few phones that are all screen in design.

How is the design outdated, though? It's bezeless but outdated according to your logic. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Wait! What? How is it outdated? What other all screen phone does One Plus have? Pixel phones are ugly. ALL OF THEM. and the fact they run Vanilla Android and are as featureless as an iPhone, makes them one of the most terrible Android devices to buy. I would in my case, buy an iPhone before I bought an ugly @$$ Pixel. In fact, any phone that runs vanilla Android if off my purchase list period. But all of them tend to be ugly. Only phones with some type of skin which improves the boring UI will ever be on my list. MIUI and Samsung One Ui are very nice and clean and offer the benefits of Google Android Vanilla Edition, but with features and nice pluses. Especially with Samsung! But your claim as to the OnePlus being ugly? Really? The iPhone would be 100% awesome if it didn't have that big @$$ notch. Notches of any size or type are pointless and ugly. Punch-out may be less ugly, but are obstructive and unneccesry. But we know you love iPhone and I prefer Samsung phones. But this OnePlus is not ugly. It certainly is not the best looking either. But I would most defeinitley put it in the top 5. I love the look of the iPhone X/XS/XS max, with exception of the ugly notch. if Apple had use a single hole at the top or just kept a bezel, and that includes Samsung and others; that would have been better. The iPhone could have been flawless. But Apple needed to add useless face ID which is unsecure. This phone isn't ugly. Anyone who says this design is dated and ugly, is either a blind fanboy, such as yourself; or just hates anything related to Android in general. Which is Apple fans in general.

I have an original pixel and won't replace it until it dies a terrible death. It's that good. Bezels don't bother me at all. Really? Who the f**k cares?

Even Nex S and R17 Pro that are the sources of the OP7 Pro design?

I like that the oneplus 7 has a pop up selfie cam since I rarely use mine and the lens on the screen is a bit annoying. 2 problems I have with the oneplus 7 are the lack of wireless charging and battery life...

The 7 pro has great battery life.

I heard different from reviewers I trust. It is a nice phone but I heard only around 4.5hours of screen on time that isn't very good.

MKBHD is like the ONLY reviewer saying it has 4.5h screen on time. Dave2D reported around 7.5h screen on, with gaming, Jon Rettinger and The Verge have all reported over 7h screen on time. Problem with MKBHD is that he cranks brightness to 100% and let's it RIP. I use autobrightness on my devices (and so did reviewers getting over 7h SOT) and find that more indicative of real usage. I don't have the phone but the bulk of the reviews place SOT north of 7h. That's good in my book.

MKBHD said, when the screen was set to the full 90hz, it had a moe damaging effect on battery life than using it at 60hz. This has nothign to do with the brightness. as far as your claim of having it at max brightness, you don't use his phone everyday so i don't know how you could know that at all.

Mkb runs at max brightness. He told me directly on Twitter a few years ago. I can't post the link bc I just registered on here to reply to you, but search "mkbhd max brightness lte twitter" and it's the first tweet that comes up. Scroll down a little and you'll see him reply to me, "max brightness, plenty of LTE" or something like that.

If they are using autobrightness on a battery test, then they aren't a reviewer I would ever trust. That is the most unscientific way you could possibly test. Autobrightness has different levels of aggressiveness on every different model of phone. Not to mention it will change at unpredictable times, when the ambient light changes. Only way to do it right is to set them all at Max brightness, since any lower setting will be configured differently on different phones. If all phones are at their highest potential, you know what the bar is.

No, the better way is to set it at a specific actual brightness, like 200nits, like Arstechnica does. They also show exactly how much of a hit 90hz causes (spoiler, about 15% worse battery life). Few outside of mkb always run at max brightness, and different phones are all different brightness at max, so that's an unscientific method. Bottom line, battery life isn't terrible on the op7p, but does come out on the low end vs most other flagships, esp with 90hz on.
