Say what? More people want the Pixel 3 XL than the Galaxy Note 9?

We asked — which one are you saving up for? Well, check out those poll results! Seems like a good portion of our voters will be entrusting Google with their savings this year.

The Note series has always been better optimized than the S series. Has the S-Pen as you stated. Also it's designed as an all around work horse, better battery maintenance then S series and smoother performance

the S-Pen is way overrated.

You obviously have never used one or even know how to use one to it fullest potential.

Well said, after these two were released, am pretty sure the note 9 will have more sales than pixel 3 because of availability. Google has little distribution channel than Samsung and I am sure not all those who voted for pixel 3 xl will get one.

It was probably the same people who make it their life's goal to bring down any Samsung related product I'm a Samsung user, and I was tempted to switch to Pixel but there are features that put me off, as well as buggy launches.

Yes, Google Pixel all the way. Because we already have powerful specs so we need software improvement, no one does it better than Google. No other smartphone has better software than Google stock Android. (BTW, even the camera is better). Samsung's Galaxys does poorly on software, my S9 is now stuttering now and then, I mean... IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO STUTTERING. I am sick of Samsung, even though I see the beauty display and design, I need better software because it matter the most.

I love the headphone jack also and the dual speakers, Samsung does a lot of things right, that's why I am on it since galaxy S5 (then S6, S7 edge, S8+ and now S9), I see the improvements but this is SAMSUNG, wasn't supposed to be slow on software department. It should fly like G6, I mean, like OnePlus 6.

But it has no features, just plain boooooooring. Another example off buying a car which has standard features vs fully spec special edition with all inclusive. But to run all those features will require 8gb Ram or 4gb Ram for stock.

No features? Android has no features? What exactly does the skinned garbage add? Also a better representation of Stock Android vs Skinned is when a production car is taken to the shops by a teenager and he/she blots on all sorts of pointless cheap crap just to feel "superior".

Samsung S9 has more features than jkshyt emty pos iPhone like specs. And shty vannila android. Wouldn't you take an AMG 63 Mercedes instead of Mercedes 230? Amg63 has everything you could think a car should have that's samsung S series

Sales will say otherwise. Even though I loved my pixel, it doesn’t compare to the Note8.

Ferrari's sell less than Honda's too.

The Pixel is definitely not a Ferrari lmao

Ferrari definitely describes the Pixel. Over rated, plagued with reliability issues, and literally disintegrates due to regular operation (performance vehicle that has its fiberglass pan eroded by road dirt with just 1 day of spirited driving causing holes to appear). The Pixel is great in theory, but I have sent significantly more away for repair vs their Samsung and LG counterparts through our small cell dealership.

Ferrari sells better than Honda, because there's hardly any available new Ferrari to get from a [official] dealership, while you can always drive away in a brand new Honda out of a H. dealership.

Honda yearly profit 5.3 billion, Ferrari 3.9billion projected values both adjusted to USD. Honda sells better in both profit and volume. Sources: ctv news (honda) Corporate.Ferrari .com (can't post links due to account age. Google [company name] 2018 profits)

Honda is a mass market manufacturer while Ferrari is a niche manufacturer; they are different and can't be compared. It's not an economic site to tell you why 1€ invested in Ferrari has a roi bigger than the same € invested in Honda.

Note is targeted as a productivity device vs. an all purpose device like the pixel. Different audiences for the most part so not surprising at all

That's just it The note has never been Samsungs top seller and really was never meant to be. Samsung came out with the note line for people that needed what it offers, a device for productivity.

Note 9 and anything other smartphone are on the opposite ends of the spectrum... Plus the Note is still a niche product that doesn't cater to the masses needs... This poll was a no brainer before it was posted... There's no need to compare Chevy to Tesla...

How so? Not 9 and all the other android phones run Android OS. It's the same exact spectrum. Note is not a niche product, It's stylus thing is a total waste, people totally forget about it after about 3 days.....lol

Since Google doesn't seem to care about the rest of the world outside the US and China, I'll go with the Note 9. Plus no other device works at working like the Notes.

I was in this position before purchasing the Note 8. I've been a Note user since the first one (having had all except the exploding Note). But I really, really, REALLY want faster updates to the operating system and less code bloat. And really don't want Samsung's stupid Bixby. So I held out for the Pixel 2XL, ready to switch camps (and give up the stylus) in trade for faster updates. Unfortunately, after learning of the screen issues that the 2XL had, I decided I'd have to wait another round and ended up buying the Note 8 instead. Here's hoping the 3XL has solved the screen issues.
