Google Pixel 3 XL video preview reveals giant 6.7" display, 3430mAh battery

The Telegram channel of a Russian tech blogger is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to tidbits about the upcoming Google Pixel 3 XL flagship. After doing an impromptu unboxing, the guy posted a look-around session with the device, showcasing the design and perusing the Android 9 Pie software. The video was only available as a download if you register with Telegram at the source link, but is already on YouTube, and you can have a look at the most pertinent tell-alls in the slideshow below.

A more subtle two-tone design can be seen on this white version, a notch, and a resolution/pixel density combo of 1440x2960 and 494ppi that our humble calculations return to mean a giant 6.7"+ display. If we have to be precise, our calculator returns a 6.663" panel which even with a notch at the top still means a huge phone, more so with that unsightly wide chin at the bottom.

The guy does warn that this is a pre-release version, though, so let's hope that the design is still being refined. Further down the specs list are a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4GB RAM/64GB storage, and a 3430 mAh battery. The camera duties are taken by a 12MP sensor again, it seems, with an 8MP selfie shooter at the front.

We can also clearly see a demo of the always-on display wallpaper support that was just unearthed in Android Pie, and which Google may very well keep a Pixel 3 exclusive. Do you like what you see so far with the eventual Google Pixel 3 XL baring it all?
