Google Pixel 3 XL shows up again, notch and two-tone build clearly visible
Last week, an image posted online appeared to show off the Google Pixel 3 XL in use by a person on a Toronto streetcar, although the angle of the photo did leave room for speculation. Today, however, confirming that the smartphone is, in fact, the Pixel 3 XL, new photos of what seems to be the same person using the device again have been published.

Taking a look at the image that showcases the front of the smartphone, the person in question can clearly be seen communicating via WhatsApp. Because of this, the display area on either side of the notch can be seen adopting a slightly darker green tone, which in turn allows the controversial design feature to be shown off in all its glory. Separately, and in regards to the Pixel 3 XL's chin, it’s hard to decipher how thick the bottom bezel is exactly due to the presence of the black navigation bar just above it. Moreover, because the person is actively using the smartphone, it’s unclear whether the device in question is making use of the new gesture-based navigation system, although recent information did state that this would be activated as default.

In regards to the second picture, this once again confirms the return of a two-tone rear panel which now makes use of glass with a glossy finish above and a frosted coating elsewhere. Additionally, despite being partially hidden, the single rear camera can be seen next to a dual-tone LED flash.

This year, Google is expected to follow in the footsteps of its previous device announcements by unveiling the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on October 4, ahead of a release later on in the month. Accompanying these smartphones will also reportedly be a new Pixel Watch, an updated Chromecast, a new Smart Display, and possibly some other products too.
