Google Nexus 4 owners are getting buzzed...from the earpiece, that is

Some owners of the Google Nexus 4 are reporting a buzzing noise or a click coming from the earpiece/camera area on the phone; early thought is that this is a shielding problem with the electronics of the device and will not be fixed with a software update...

GNex honestly it isn't a piece of crap for sure as it works and delivers more than an iPhone at far less price and has no issues related to "gragmentation" which many from other side of the fence talk about ... more so no point talkin g of a phone which is more than a year old :)

Yea, I got the LG Optimus G and I was walking out of the mall today on a call and heard the clicking noise. I thought it was something hitting the phone while I walked and I thought it was cooridinated with my steps... truly wierd. Then it went away. I thought I did hear it yesterday too. Only have had the phone a few days. I will keep up my focus on this issue since I now only have two weeks to return it... Otherwise it is a very fast phone with some nice LG customization in the os. I just came from the Samsung Galaxy Nexus which felt very stripped down compared to the LG Optimus G. and I know the Nexus is very basic Android but common Google putting the battery percentage in the notification bar I think is or should be standard in your os. I shouldn't have to go looking for a darn app to put my battery percentage where I can see it... Common Man...

Haha you guys are pathetic still hating on the GNex. It's a year and a half old already. I would expect the N4 or the iCan't5 to be a lot better using state of the art components. Fact of the matter is LG has never made a good smartphone that could compete with the big boys. They should stick to TVs because that's one thing they do well.

i havent noticed a buzz at all.. I dont call much, but its been damn clear. On a positive note, the N4 survived a very long and violent night in the pit of a Sevendust concert (with 6 other bands). At one point it flipped off and took a few minutes to respond to power on.. but once it did, it was all good. In fact it walked out in better shape than I did :) Build quality? CHECK. lol

N4 is a beast bro, no doubt about it. I think too many people over react to these small and often insignificant issues. I had a dozens of phones, and not one has been glitch free...especially when it's the first batch bought around launch time. A few moths later the phones that r produced r better, but who wants to wait lol.

thats the trick. the first batch always has issues. Find me a major release phone that hasnt had a first batch issue. you want to be a first adopter, you should know that your gonna be a beta tester as well.

Very well said, and true. My ip5 that I got on launch day is a solid device, but does have an occasional issue or two but I didn't wanna I knew what to expect.

If the HTC DNA was the nexus 4 I'd buy it right away not minding the price tag.

I am also having the issue with the 'buzzing earpiece' in my Nexus 4. The smartphone was purchased in Poland from a retailer and I sent it back to LG in Poland for repair or replacement. I described the issue . They now pretend they do not understand the problem, the phone has already been sent back and forth twice. They say all is OK with it although they do not refer to the actual issue at all.. Not good .... Very disspointed, it has already been lasting for 6 weeks.....
