Google intros Files Go, a free file manager for Android

Google recently introduced Files Go, a free Android app that's designed to help you "manage storage smartly and keep your phone clean and organized." The app isn't officially released, but it's already listed on Google Play, being compatible with all devices running Android 5.0 or later. Unfortunately, at this time, Google Files Go is available only as part of an early access program, which is "currently full."

Files Go is Google's very first file manager that has a dedicated app in Play Store. Some of its features include the ability to seamlessly share files with friends while offline, a quick way to find documents, and smart suggestions related to freeing up space.

The name of Files Go suggests that this app has something to do with Android Go - a Google initiative aimed at providing a superior Android experience on low-end phones. Of course, this shouldn't mean you can't try Files Go on a high-end handset, assuming you'll be able to actually download the app - check out the source link below to see when the application will become available to everyone.

Update: Google pulled Files Go from Play Store, but we assume the app will be back online soon.
