We are in the post-PC world right now. Smartphones and tablets are pushing out traditional PCs, because it turns out that in many use-cases and many users simply don't need all of the power and flexibility of a full desktop experience. Tablets are a big part of the move, but of course every quarter has its variations. It's never really possible to match the holiday season, but this quarter could take a significant drop...

Tablet quality has gotten so good, I wonder if people waking up and realizing their current tablet doesn't need replaced with a newer model is part of the drop.

I'm guessing the same. I'm keeping my iPad 4 for another year until something much more powerful arrives.

Me too. My Acer A700 has FHD screen and I use it mainly for watching video (Live Games). No reason to upgrade.

i always see phablets eating away at tablets use as it is more versatile to carry one device rather than an extra tablets.
tablets does serve a purpose and to me it is more in training and education. Tablet will never replace a laptop imo

I personally prefer a laptop over a tablet for all work except gaming.

Lenovo's Thinkpad 8 comes with full Windows 8.1, Office and productivity suite, 1080P FHD display, 16:10 aspect ratio!!!!!!!!, SD Card, 64 or 128GB Internal Storage and Intel Bay-Trail T Quad (Which puts the Snapdragon 800 to shame at the same power draw). Optional cell connectivity.

Starting under $500 dollars.

Laptops are going the way of the Dodo.

PBX is correct. Tablets dont need to be replaced as often now. Thus prices will rise. Buy your quality tablets now while competition is high, before lesser competition goes out of business.
