Gigabyte unveils the g-Smart i Pocket PC phone with analog TV

Gigabyte Communications has unveiled its g-Smart i at this year's CeBit trade show in Hannover, Germany. g-Smart i is the company's second Pocket PC phone to feature TV after the g-Smart, announced in December last year. The g-Smart i supports more or less the same features as its predecessor, but unlike the slide-designed g-Smart, it has a candy bar form factor. The tri-band GSM/GPRS smartphone is based on Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 2 OS. The main features are:

  • 2.1 mega pixels camera
  • Bluetooth 1.2
  • W-LAN 802.11b
  • 416 MHz Intel processor
  • analogue TV
  • FM radio

The g-Smart i is expected to be initially launched on the Asian market this month. There's still no information regarding the price.
