I just can't stop thinking how BOTH Microsoft & Nokia f*cked up the release on the Nokia Lumia 920 here in the U.S.

What a nice & sexy device, WASTED by a horrible exclusivity deal with AT&T. They should have been smart & released it for EVERYBODY. I really think it would have done well & put WP8 on the map for good.

Sad, sad & sad.

Well no matter what they thought, it just doesn't make sense. Remember when Apple finally started to sell to every carrier, what a HUGE boom they felt?

Microsoft & Nokia just don't get it.

You have to remember by the time Apple started selling to other carriers it was well established and had demand with an even higher following. Nokia and WP8 doesn't really have that as yet, so exclusivity might be how they want to garner that following similar to how Apple did it.

Corect me if I'm wrong, isn;t Verizon suppose to get a Lumia 922 or something.

See that is the thing, WP has been out already but the phones have been sub par. So Microsoft WP has not had such a great reception.

I really think this Nokia could change people's perception but they decide to limit it's exposure with a dumba$$ deal with AT&T.

No I think it's the Nokia 822 & something called the Nokia Atlas, what ever that is.

The iPhone was unlike nothing we saw before at the time. Everybody wanted it, that what made it such a hot item and people switched to AT&T just to get. Windows Phone has been out over a year already, it never garnered the appeal the iPhone had, so exclusivity will only hurt Nokia

and they also missed the timing, with iphone 5, GNote 2 released ahead, many people already buy those.

And beasts like Optimus G and other are coming soon... This will make the tech geeks think twice before investing into 920..

Especially if they're released on more than one major carrier.

SMH @Nokia...

No matter what LG comes up with they will still lag against my beast ---> Note 2 :)

Nokia did a great job with 920. I don't know why some people are just barking around and don't get the fact...!!!

Front of Note 2, LG optimus G, Nokia 920, HTC One x ---> iPhone 5's a$$ just get owned....!!

i feel exactly the same way, though i dont live in us i still understand how important it is for nokia to gain market share there

It's not market share that Nokia needs, it's profit. Market share may or may not come with profit.

Is way cheaper to Nokia develop only GSM-based phones because verizon and sprint are CDMA and the costs will duplicate making a version for Verizon or Sprint now, so i think that Nokia is trying to make money to manufacture the CDMA versions so till now only for AT&T, so that may explain the strategy of Lumia 900 (AT&T) and Lumia 710 (T-Mobile) GSM based-phones.

That is why I am saving money from now to buy the unlocked phone since my carrier is not AT&T. Why Nokia why?
BTW this phone is for my girl because I will not get ready of my galaxy note and android. No way. I don't get a long with Microsoft product but Nokia check ok.

You can f**k Microsoft on that front. Because untill MS doesn't release their WP at Lumia 920 cannot be launched. In fact if MS would have released WP 8 6 months back, Lumia 920 would have been sold like hot cake

Agreed. I would have bought a Lumina 920 if it was on my network.

Such a great device! Of course now that AT&T dropped its return period to 14 days anyone who has bought a phone from Sunday onwards (except CA) wouldn't be able to switch it for one of these bad boys. What dumb moves!

Honestly, I see nothing special in this design.
On the other hand, the design of my pebble blue Galaxy S3 has captivated me deeply in just a week of owning it.. the color pattern and the way it changes with the angle of view and different lighting is wonderful, there is a deep sense of subtlety and coherence in the overall shape and details.
My absolutely favorite touch (pun intended ) is the one with soft keys - they appear almost magically on the colored surface under the fingertip.
I just love what Samsung has done.

I love this phone, but I hate at&t with a passion. Might get it unlocked if it has support for T-mobile hspa+
If not, I'll just stick to the 8x. I'm still hoping they'll reveal soon that this is just some sick, tasteless prank and make it available on T-mobile

If the phone has to survive, it will. I'm not worried about the timing, i'm more worried about the price...
And i'm really surprised!
All the trolls here are AT&T i think...

It's so shiny! I am a fan of matte finish for phones but this yellow Lumia is just beautiful. The UI looks so fresh! Ugh! I badly want to own this yellow phone!

microsofts cunning plan.
Have Nokia development create a great phone, copy it produce it yourself, buy Nokia when it declares insolvency, use Nokia's patents to destroy competition.
