Hmm. I wonder if it works for those of us buying our phones on employee lines.

I'll probably keep my Atrix anyway, since it's been a loyal little phone, and I kind of regret giving up my DROID X. But as soon as I have disposable income, I'm getting the DROID Maxx!

I don't have an employee line yet. I signed up for a consumer line like two months before I got my current job, so I've had to wait until I've been out of contract (and as of 8 months ago, until Motorola finally unveiled their next phones) before I could choose my phone and plan. I could still go with an AT&T employee line if I wanted, but they're five bucks more a month and don't knock 100 bucks off the cost of the phone like Verizon does. Plus, I'm really digging the battery on the Maxx, and if it somehow, someway turns out to be a piece of sheet (or if Verizon service isn't as good as AT&T around here) then I'm only under contract for a year.

I'm sure your ETF is a bit higher than mine was (200 with T-Mo) but when I was eligible to get an employee line I just paid T-Mo the ETF and immediately got on VZW's salesmaker plan. Not only did I get a better phone with better service on a shorter contract, but the cheaper monthly plan saved me money too over not that many months (I was paying my parents $50/month to be on their family plan).

It's probably worth it to not wait. Getting my Maxx as soon as it comes out.

Well, I'm out of contract now, so all I'm waiting for is the release, it's availability on the employee line, and of course the money to buy it.

I wonder if I can trade in my Droid Razr 16Gb for the trade in. Want to get the new Moto X for the line since it is coming out soon for Verizon.

Get that and just finally get a phone that fully functions properly.

They should double it for anyone who suffered through JB on the Bionic.
