We always counted on the Japanese firm to lead the bezel-less movement, as it's always had a thing for making minimally framed phones...

Very nice. You can call the 660 midrange but it's very close in performance benchmarks to the 820, which is good enough for me.

The master of the bezel-less phone is back! Pity it's only for the Japanese market though.

Well, these are clearly marketing images, I'd like to see how bezeless they really are. Like it happened with the mi mix or the dodgee phone.

These are gorgeous yes but this type of design actually takes less out of the design as your just slapping a beautiful rectangular glass panel on the phone and calling it a day. With that trend going forward differentiation between devices will be gone faster than Nokia's dominance in mobile.

I prefer the old EDGEST design that had a lower lip, but this is ... fine too, I guess. At least it's a step back into the right direction for them. I hope it has their emotion light.

To a point where you gotta wonder about Sharp's local market position. Because they seem to be perfectly comfortable at keeping these gems off the international markets. That being said, I don't mind using the Snapdragon 660 driven model so long if it packs a hefty sized battery to go with it.

I don't get it why writers of article such is this one is talking about Xiaomi MIX as something special, like Sharp' S competition, when Sharp is the one that have produced screen for Xiaomi (and no one is mentioned that)
